Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai
Compare prices
Situated along the old Mae Rim road outside Chiang Mai, this Four Seasons property occupies a working rice paddy landscape that gives it a distinctly rural character rarely found at a luxury resort. The architecture is designed to complement its agricultural surroundings, with open pavilions and terraced gardens framing sweeping views across the paddy fields — a setting that guests consistently describe as both stunning and genuinely peaceful. The resort caters to a range of visit types, from extended wellness-focused stays to honeymoons and weddings. Service is attentive and personalised throughout, and the property is also open to day visitors for afternoon tea, making it worth considering even for travellers not staying overnight. Despite the lush, water-fed surroundings, guests note that mosquitoes are surprisingly minimal — a welcome detail for those who might expect otherwise. Good to know: Rooms fill quickly during the November to February peak season, when Chiang Mai's weather is at its most comfortable, and New Year's Eve in particular books out well in advance — early reservations are strongly advised. The Mae Rim location sits outside central Chiang Mai, so guests planning regular trips to the Old City, night markets, or temples should factor in travel time and arrange transport accordingly.

Visitor Reviews
Came to this hotel back in the end of May of this year for our Honeymoon, and this hotel was one of the top three hotels we ever experienced. We were welcomed by the manager Omkar and other staff which gave me a White Lotus experience which was incredibly cool and I never experienced before. The hotel was beautiful and the rice patties, and mountains and greenery were stunning. Omkar offered to show us other rooms because I accidently booked a suite instead of villa for my Honeymoon and they were able to help us upgrade to make our Honeymoon as special as possible. Omkar was professional, friendly, and on top of everything and every hotel needs a manager like him! The room had snacks placed that were all fresh and tasty that made us excited to spend time in the room along with private pool. It was so fun doing the free activities they had such as planting rice and the water buffalo washing! If you have time the spa has beautiful oils and massage rooms we did the rose massage package and felt pampered and smelled so good after! Definitely recommend doing if you have time all our friends thought it was really cool too! The breakfast and restaurant food was as good as the restaurants outside the hotel which is rare for some hotel areas. All the staff was friendly and it was helpful having a caddy be able to get us at our villa and Sunny our driver for the stay was so kind and helpful with fun tips of things to check out in area! Everything from snacks to experience were very thoughtful!! Overall this hotel has a special place in my heart for my whole life and want to come back for an anniversary in the future! I cannot recommend this hotel enough and told all my friends and coworkers to go which one of them booked for their honeymoon already! Thank you Omkar and Sunny for making the trip amazing and other staff who all were friendly and amazing!!
We first tried to stay here for New Year’s Eve but couldn’t get a room — and after finally coming back nine months later, we understood why it’s always fully booked. Every single expectation we had was not only met, but exceeded. The resort is absolutely stunning. We’ve never seen so much green in one place — lush gardens, ponds, rice fields, and flowers everywhere you look. The villas are beautifully integrated into nature, giving the impression that the hotel is almost empty, even when it’s not. You rarely see anyone nearby, which makes it incredibly peaceful and private. The star of our stay was definitely the breakfast — outstanding local food, a wide variety of options, and impeccable service. Every member of the staff seems genuinely happy to make your day better. We also joined a few of the resort activities, like washing the buffalo — such a unique and surprisingly fun experience! Our room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with a large bathroom and a lovely outdoor area overlooking the pond and rice fields. It may not be brand-new, but it’s extremely cozy and full of charm. This is a true five-star property where luxury meets serenity. The service is flawless, the setting is unforgettable, and we can’t wait to come back again.
We stayed at the Four Seasons for three nights as part of our honeymoon trip to Thailand, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. The hotel is beautifully and thoughtfully designed, sprawling across the landscape and feeling like a mini village nestled in the jungle, with rice paddies at its centre. The staff are truly wonderful, and we loved how much time they took to tell us about the local produce and the surrounding area. The buffalo washing experience was a real highlight, and simply walking around the grounds, taking in the stunning scenery, was a joy in itself. The hotel’s restaurants are excellent. Khao was our favourite in particular. The breakfasts are to die for, and as someone who is gluten free, I was so impressed by the wide and thoughtful selection of gluten-free options available. We spent a few days here relaxing after time in Chiang Mai city. It’s incredibly peaceful, and we hardly left the hotel at all; there’s something so special about just being there and soaking it all in.
