About Capella Bangkok
This is special-occasion territory, and it knows it. Every room is a suite or a villa, every one of them looks straight out at the Chao Phraya with nothing in the way, and a good number come with their own plunge pool, which is close to unheard of this central in Bangkok. If you're booking a standard room somewhere to save money and then wondering why the stay felt ordinary, this is the opposite approach.
Côte by Mauro Colagreco carries a Michelin star and is the reason plenty of people who aren't staying here turn up at all. The rest of the day tends to organize itself around the Auriga spa and the riverfront infinity pool, and if you want to walk it off, the hotel links directly to the Four Seasons' Chao Phraya estate promenade next door. Give yourself a full day with no plans. Rushing between temples and sights defeats the point of paying for a river view you'll barely sit in front of.
