About Panviman Resort
This is the Koh Phangan people forget exists, with no buckets, no beach speakers, just a smart resort above Thong Nai Pan Noi on the island's northeast side. If your idea of a good vacation is an outdoor pool, an open-air restaurant and nobody bothering you, it fits. If you want to walk out of your room into a bar strip, it really doesn't.
Rooms are comfortable and the service is the attentive kind, and breakfast is included, which matters more than it sounds when you're a long way from the nearest cluster of shops. My advice is to treat it as a proper base rather than a place to sleep between trips. The drive to Thong Sala and Haad Rin is a real one, over hilly road, so plan your days rather than nipping out on a whim.
