Phuket Top Team

Phuket Top Team is one of the island's biggest combat-sports camps, on Chalong's East Chaofa Road a few minutes from the Soi Ta-iad fitness street. It made its name as an MMA destination — a professional team that has sent fighters to major international promotions trains here daily — but the Muay Thai program stands on its own, with Thai trainers running levelled group classes morning and afternoon alongside BJJ, wrestling and conditioning. The mix draws a slightly more fight-focused crowd than the resort-style camps, while staying genuinely open to beginners. The camp day is the standard two sessions, six days a week, and the timetable lets guests build their own blend — pure Muay Thai, pure grappling, or the full MMA spread. Accommodation options sit within walking distance, and the Chalong location puts the whole Soi Ta-iad ecosystem of cafés and fight shops five minutes away by scooter. Good to know: drop-ins are welcome and weekly or monthly packages bring rates down; book rooms ahead for the November–March high season. Watching the pro team's sparring days is an education in itself — ask the front desk which mornings are open.
