Chet Sao Noi National Park

4.5(7,149 reviews)

Chet Sao Noi National Park, located in Muak Lek district of Saraburi province, centres on a seven-tiered waterfall that flows through well-maintained forest along the Muak Lek stream. The park is compact and walkable, making it accessible to visitors of most fitness levels rather than those seeking serious trekking challenges. The forest canopy keeps the environment noticeably cool even on sunny days, and the sound of birdsong and flowing water defines the atmosphere throughout. Level four of the waterfall is a particular highlight, offering one of the better spots for wading into the water, though swimming opportunities across the park are limited. Entrance fees are modest — 20 THB for Thai adults with a separate 30 THB parking fee — making this an affordable half-day outing. The park draws visitors looking for a quiet retreat from urban areas, and the natural surroundings have been well preserved despite the site's popularity. Photographers and nature lovers will find plenty to work with along the shaded walking trails, and the scenery is at its most impressive during and after the rainy season when water levels are at their peak. Good to know: Wear comfortable footwear with grip, as some sections near the waterfall can be slippery. Bring water and light snacks, as facilities inside the park are limited. The park is best visited on weekdays to avoid crowds, and those planning a visit during the monsoon season should check local conditions in advance, as water levels and trail accessibility can change quickly.

Visitor Reviews

👏 Loved this place! 🌿 The short walking trail through the forest was so peaceful — shaded by big trees and filled with the sound of birds and flowing water. The waterfall itself has several gentle tiers, perfect for dipping your feet or cooling off 💦 The water’s wasn’t so clear (due to recent heavy rains), but was refreshing, and there are plenty of nice spots to sit, relax, or have a picnic. Such a calm and beautiful escape from the city — was totally worth the trip! 🍃✨ I spent a couple of hours.. just walking the trails.

Good spot to take break and for having fun in nature, it is a plan water fall yet, worth visiting and spending some time around. There are 7 levels level 4 is beautiful and good for going into the water. However, the bottom at this area is not smooth , there are small rocks and wood logs.

The prettiest I have ever seen. Even on a very sunny day the place felt cool and calm because of how the nature around has been maintained well, irrespective of the fact that it has huge attarction. Not just aesthetic and heavenly but also has a calming vibe🫶🏼💜

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries

Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.

Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide

These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.

Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning

Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
