Market Village Phuket Chalong
Situated in the Chalong area of southern Phuket, Market Village serves primarily as a practical, everyday shopping destination rather than a tourist attraction. Anchored by a Villa Market supermarket and a Home Pro home improvement store, it caters mainly to residents and longer-stay visitors stocking up on groceries, household goods, and pharmaceuticals. A handful of food franchise outlets and a pharmacy round out the offering, making it a functional stop for those with self-catering needs or a specific errand to run. Honest expectations are worth setting here. Visitor accounts note that much of the upper floor has been closed for some time, with a number of ground-floor stores also shuttered, leaving the mall feeling quieter and less active than it once was. The remaining tenants, however, are reliable and consistently open. On Monday and Tuesday afternoons, street food stalls set up outside, adding a local flavour worth timing a visit around if the opportunity arises. Good to know: Market Village is open daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM with no variation across the week. Those doing a larger grocery shop may find the Lotus supermarket nearby a more cost-effective and better-stocked alternative. For travellers, this stop makes the most sense when combined with a visit to nearby attractions such as Wat Chalong, rather than as a dedicated destination in itself.

Visitor Reviews
I come here regularly either the supermarket or one of the pharmacies. Great
We were on our way back home after visiting (trying to visit) Big Buddha and decided to spend some time here. It's not big local shopping center. You can buy home appliances here, products in Villa Market, flowers, souvenirs, household chemicals. There is KFC inside and couple of other places to eat. I think it's comfortable places for people who live here. You won't find here good choice of clothes or shoes.
One of not many shopping options in Chalong. Home Pro, a well stocked grocery store, pharmacy, food franchises and the omni present luggage store. Mon & Tues afternoons there are streetfood stalls out front with a good variety of food and drink available as well as live music. Good option to socialize away from the sleezy bars ...

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
