Aussie Divers Phuket

5.0(1,144 reviews)

Based in Rawai on Phuket's southern coast, Aussie Divers Phuket is a well-established diving operation offering everything from Open Water certification courses to multi-day fun dive packages. Owner Darren Gaspari runs a hands-on operation with a reputation for attentive service at every stage, from initial enquiry through to the final dive. The Rawai location provides ready access to southern Phuket dive sites, with the team managing equipment, logistics, and site selection based on conditions and diver experience levels. Visitors consistently describe a smooth, professional atmosphere with strong attention to detail throughout. The operation caters equally to complete beginners working through certification and experienced divers joining recreational boat trips. Equipment and facilities receive positive mentions across the board, and the team is particularly noted for responsiveness during the pre-trip planning stage — including for travellers booking from overseas well in advance of their arrival. Good to know: Phuket's prime diving season runs from November to April when visibility and sea conditions are at their best, though Aussie Divers operates year-round. Those joining recreational fun dives rather than a certification course will need a valid dive certification to participate. Booking ahead is strongly recommended, especially during the peak December to February period when popular departures fill quickly. Getting in touch with the team directly before arrival is worthwhile to confirm scheduling, site plans, and any equipment requirements.

Visitor Reviews

AUSSIE DIVERS PHUKET I had an absolutely outstanding experience with Aussie Divers Phuket in September 2025. From the very beginning, owner Darren Gaspari runs a first-class operation — professional, organised, and clearly passionate about diving. My instructor, Guy Allen, was exceptional. Calm, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough, he made every dive feel safe, relaxed, and enjoyable. His briefings were clear, his guidance underwater was reassuring, and his professionalism really stood out. We dived at the spectacular Phi Phi Islands as well as Racha Noi and Racha Yai, among others — each site offering fantastic visibility, vibrant marine life, and unforgettable underwater scenery. The entire crew was brilliant — friendly, attentive, and safety-focused — and the food on board was fantastic as well, which made the whole day even more enjoyable between dives. Thank you to all the crew and personnel. This is a top-tier dive operation in every respect. I’m already looking forward to coming back in September 2026! Highly recommend to anyone diving in Phuket, don’t go past Aussie Divers! 🌊🐠👌✌️🙏

From the start of researching and booking from Canada, weeks before the dive, Darren from the Aussie divers gave us his 100% attention and was very helpful in helping us arrange for the dive. We communicated via email and even chatted on the phone, which required clarificatin of our PADI certification. During the day of the dive my family were picked up promptly on time and met Franck our dive master at Aussie Divers office, who took us to the pier and onto our boat. He refreshed our PADI scuba dive certification with utmost professionalism. His attention to details and safety was the best we have ever seen and experienced for-the last 15 previous dives we have taken with other diving outfits. Our best diving memories were recorded by Franck who took pictures and videos and shared it with us at no cost, which was icing on the best cake I ever had. I definately recommend Aussie Divers if a perfect and 100% safe diving experience is your goal in Phuket. We would never ever hesitate using them for our next dive in Phuket. Thank you Aussie Divers for the best scuba diving experience ever.

We had an absolutely fantastic time diving with Aussie Divers Phuket and can’t recommend them highly enough. We spent a total of seven days on the boat and felt incredibly well taken care of from start to finish. Our main guide, Moody, is one of the best dive guides we’ve ever had – highly professional, extremely knowledgeable, and a genuinely warm and friendly person. His understanding of the local dive sites and marine life made every dive special. With around 130 dives logged, we can honestly say he stands out as exceptional. The dives themselves were breathtaking: huge schools of fish, turtles, blacktip sharks, and incredible biodiversity, especially around Phi Phi. The entire crew was professional, friendly, and fun to be around, and the food on board was outstanding – honestly far too good for a dive boat! An unforgettable experience overall. We will definitely dive with Aussie Divers again if we return to Phuket.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries

Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.

Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide

These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.

Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning

Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
