Pi Leh Bay

Pi Leh Bay, also known as Pi Leh Lagoon or Pileh Cove, is a stunning natural inlet on the island of Koh Phi Phi Leh in Thailand's Krabi Province. It is famous for its breathtaking scenery, featuring towering limestone cliffs that surround a lagoon of crystal-clear, emerald-green water. The bay is often described as "paradise on earth" due to the dramatic contrast of the sheer, jungle-covered cliffs and the vibrant turquoise water. The unique lighting conditions, especially around midday, make the water appear to glow from within. The bay can get very crowded with tourists. To experience its tranquility, it is recommended to visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon. The best time to photograph the outstanding beauty of the water, however, is typically between 11 am and 1 pm when the sun hits the water directly.

Pi Ley Bay is a beautiful spot nestled among mountains, boasting crystal-clear waters. The scenery is stunning, and boats will stop here so we can take a refreshing swim. There are no waves here, making swimming safe for everyone, even non-swimmers. Life jackets are available, and guides and staff are on hand to ensure a fun and memorable experience.

Beautiful spot for a swim during tours to Phi Phi islands, there is dozens of other boats there as it seems to be a regular stop after Maya Beach. The water was a very comfortable temperature at 28° according to my watch. They tie the back of their boats over a mooring line with 10 or so other tours and you jump in off the back of the boat. We stayed for about 20 mins then continued on with our private tour. If you could come here very early in the morning I’m sure it would be a great quiet spot to see the dramatic limestone cliffs.
