Who counts as a child

101 to 140 cm tall. Anyone 100 cm or under is free, without a theater seat.

The show is the reason to come. Fantasy of a Kingdom is a big indoor production that runs Thai history and myth together with acrobatics, magic and pyrotechnics, about 70 minutes in 11 scenes with more than 150 performers, in a theater that seats over 3,000. Phones and cameras aren't allowed inside. You hand them in at the camera-check booths at security or use the self-service lockers, so you watch the whole thing instead of filming it.

From 1 November 2026 the park opens at 17:00 and the show starts at 20:30, half an hour earlier than before, finishing around 21:40. The Golden Kinnaree buffet and the Tiger Jungle Adventure run from 17:00 to 20:30, and the newer Viva Bangkok stage has its own show at 19:45, so the hours before the curtain are dinner, shops and carnival stalls.

Thirty elephants appear in the performance, and for some people that's the end of it. I rank elephant camps on welfare, and performing elephants are exactly what those lists leave out, so decide how you feel about it before you book rather than in your seat.

On the park's own site, the show with the buffet is ฿2,200 for adults and ฿2,000 for children, the show alone is ฿1,800, and a combo with Carnival Magic, the sister park that opens on the other nights, is ฿3,700 and ฿3,600. Children are 101 to 140 cm tall, and anyone 100 cm or under goes free without a theater seat. Full payment is due at least seven days before your date and isn't refundable, and you can book up to six months ahead.

FantaSea opens only on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, until 23:30. It's in Kamala, about 10 minutes from Patong and 23 km, around 30 minutes, from the airport. A shared hotel transfer costs ฿450 return (฿800 from Khao Lak, Fridays only), the vans head back about every 10 minutes until midnight, and there's a parking lot if you drive.
