FAA Spa
Tucked away in the peaceful Nong Thale district of Krabi, FAA Spa is a full-service wellness centre connected to Varana Hotel, offering a comprehensive range of treatments that go well beyond a standard massage. Facilities include an onsen, steam room, sauna, and cold plunge pool, giving guests the option to follow a complete hydrotherapy journey before or after their chosen treatment. The spa's setting away from Krabi's busier tourist zones makes it a genuinely restful escape. Treatment options span aromatic oil massage, Gua Sha facial massage, aloe vera and soothing skin therapies, and extended bodywork sessions running up to two and a half hours. The facilities are consistently noted for their cleanliness and presentation, and the therapists are recognised for attentive, professional technique. Packages such as the Destress combination — which pairs massage with eye mask and facial treatments — offer a structured way to sample multiple services in a single visit. FAA Spa is open every day of the week from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, making it easy to fit around a broader Krabi itinerary. Advance booking is strongly recommended, particularly during peak season, as treatment slots fill quickly. Visitors can browse available packages and make enquiries through the Varana Hotel wellness page before arrival. The aloe vera treatment is worth noting for anyone dealing with sunburn or insect bites, as reviewers highlight its soothing effect beyond standard cosmetic use.

Visitor Reviews
I had an amazing wellness experience at the spa. I started with their hydrotherapy journey moving through the onsen, steam room, sauna, and finally the cold plunge. The facilities were spotless, beautifully designed, and each step felt incredibly revitalizing. It was the perfect way to relax both body and mind before my treatment. Afterward, I enjoyed an aromatherapy massage with therapist White, and it was truly exceptional. White has an incredibly calming presence and an intuitive touch. She checked in about pressure and comfort throughout the session, and her technique was both soothing and effective. I left feeling deeply relaxed, rejuvenated, and completely reset. I highly recommend booking your massage with White if you visit, she made the whole experience unforgettable. The spa is definitely a must-try for anyone looking for a high-quality wellness escape in Krabi.
We had a great experience at the spa. We booked the Destress package which included an aromatic oil massage, an eye mask and Gua Sha face massage. The treatment left us feeling super relaxed and fuelled with new energy thanks to our amazing massage therapists! I also loved the decor and general set-up of the spa area. The spa is located inside the Varana resort. Prices are at the higher end, our treatment was ++3800THB for 120 minutes.
I came to the spa after being bitten by mosquitoes and chose the aloe vera treatment, which is highly recommended for sunburn. It turned out to be perfect for me, as it also helped soothe all the mosquito bites. The aloe vera deeply calmed my skin. The treatment was excellent, and my therapist, Way, was amazing — very professional and attentive. One of the best massage treatments I’ve had in Thailand.

Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
