Sun&fun
Situated on the beach in Krabi's Nong Thale area, Sun&fun is a seafood-focused Thai restaurant that draws consistent praise for the quality and freshness of its food. The setting is genuinely beachside, giving diners an attractive backdrop to go alongside a menu built around whole fried fish, squid dishes, and authentic Thai flavours. The relaxed, open atmosphere makes it equally suited to a casual lunch or a longer evening meal. The kitchen's standout dish, according to multiple visitors, is the fried Asian Seabass prepared with three flavours — a plate that comes up repeatedly in positive reviews. Beyond fish, the menu spans a wide range of seafood options, and the restaurant also offers a solid cocktail selection, making it a practical choice for those wanting drinks alongside their meal. Service is consistently described as friendly and attentive. Good to know: Sun&fun is open every day of the week from 10:00 to 22:00, so there is no need to plan around limited hours or weekly closures. The beachside location means arriving around sunset offers a more atmospheric dining experience. Given that several visitors have returned multiple times during a single trip, it is worth keeping the address on hand for repeat visits rather than treating it as a one-time stop.

Visitor Reviews
Excellent experience at Sea & Fun. The food is wonderful – full of flavour, all ingredients taste very fresh. And the prices are so reasonable. We went back 3 times, my partner tried a few of their curries and all were cooked to perfection, balanced but not too hot. I have some digestive issues and struggle with spicy food as well as garlic. As everything is cooked to order they were able to accommodate me with no problem. The staff were incredibly friendly and caring. Highly recommended – we will not hesitate to return on our next holiday!
Excellent choice for any meals throughout the day, especially for dinner. Every dish was fresh, flavorful & delicious. Highly recommend the Fried fish (Asian Seabass) with 3 flavors, any Squid dishes & Fried chicken wings. Best part was everyone on the staff team who was so nice & helpful. Cocktails were spot on & seating right on the beach was perfect to start of the trip in Krabi. Already came back for the 2nd time today. Located right across from Varana hotel. Highly recommended!
This restaurant offers a wide selection of authentic Thai flavors with plenty of seafood and fish. The dishes were fresh, vibrant and delicious. There is a wide selection of cocktails. The moment you enter, you are welcomed by a sense of pure tranquility—the gentle sound of waves, the soft ocean breeze, and most importantly friendly, warm and attentive staff. Everybody loves kids but at the same time this is also a great restaurant for a romantic dinner. Thank you ❤️

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
