Dragon View Bar & Restaurant
Perched above the Nong Thale area of Krabi, Dragon View Bar & Restaurant earns its name with sweeping panoramic views that visitors consistently single out as a highlight of their time in the region. The elevated setting makes it a particularly popular spot at sunset, when the surrounding landscape — karst mountains, greenery, and open sky — puts on a genuine display. It draws a mix of locals and travellers, giving it a more grounded atmosphere than the heavily touristed beachfront venues closer to Ao Nang. The menu leans into Thai classics, with dishes like pad see ew drawing strong praise from diners. The food is described as flavourful and well-executed across a broad range of options, and the bar component means guests can settle in for drinks before or after eating. Portion sizes are adequate rather than generous, so arrive with a reasonable appetite. Service is noted as attentive and friendly, and the kitchen handles larger group bookings without significant delays. Good to know: Dragon View is open every day of the week from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM, so there are no closure days to work around. Arriving in the late afternoon — roughly an hour before sunset — is the most rewarding time to visit, as it allows guests to secure a good table before the view becomes the main event. The dress code is relaxed and the mid-range pricing makes it accessible for most budgets. The address is in Tambon Nong Thale, so those relying on taxis or rideshare apps should confirm the location in advance.

Visitor Reviews
Our favorite restaurant in Krabi This was hands down the best restaurant we went to in Krabi. The view alone is worth coming for — absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. Sitting there watching the sky change colors made the whole experience unforgettable. The food was excellent. You can really taste the quality — the flavors felt more refined and a level above many other places we tried. Everything we ordered was fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully served. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the atmosphere even better. If you’re in Krabi and want great food with an incredible view, this place is a must.
I’ve had such an amazing evening at this wonderful restaurant! The food with no exaggeration was phenomenal. Literally everything that I got I loved! The service was outstanding. Everyone is so kind and immediately greeted us with smiles. I want to give a huge thank you to Chef Air. The meals that were provided were definitely crafted with care. Also, thank you to the wonderful crème brûlée that you prepared for my partner and I. When we arrive back to Krabi, we surely will be coming to visit this restaurant again 10/10.
Beautiful sunset view. Gorgeous. I attended a dinner party with a big group and the service was very quick. Best pad see ew I’ve had in Thailand so far. The food was amazing. Flavorful without being overwhelming and the fruit was very fresh. The only feedback I would provide is possibly adding and or fly swatter fans on the tables if you dine on the outside deck.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
