YOU KNOW WHERE
Tucked along Si Lom Road in Bangkok's bustling entertainment district, You Know Where earns its name with a deliberately concealed entrance — reportedly set within what appears to be a music shop facade. The hidden-door concept gives the bar a genuine speakeasy character, making the act of finding it part of the experience. Once inside, guests discover a small but stylishly decorated space with warm, cozy details and an atmosphere built for settling in rather than passing through. The bar's standout feature is its serious approach to mixology. Bartenders are noted for their enthusiasm and knowledge, with signature cocktails that showcase creative combinations — including smoky, sour, and custom whiskey-based builds. Drinks skew on the sweeter side, which is worth noting for those who prefer a drier profile. The attentive, personable service and willingness to offer recommendations make it a comfortable choice for both cocktail enthusiasts and casual visitors exploring Silom's nightlife. Good to know: You Know Where sits at the more premium end of Bangkok's bar scene, so it suits an occasion-worthy evening rather than a quick stop. Specific opening hours are not listed online, so confirming before visiting is advisable. The Si Lom area generally comes alive from 9 PM onwards, and the venue's intimate size means it can fill up quickly — arriving earlier in the evening improves the chances of securing a good seat.

Visitor Reviews
Beautifully decorated with cozy details and a warm atmosphere. The bartender was really attentive and gave great drink recommendations. A perfect spot to unwind and just enjoy the moment.
Excelent cocktail bar. The barattender was very passionate about mixology and easy going. Try their signatire cocktails and wont regret it!
You Know Where is a really nice little speakeasy is Silom. The door is sort of hidden, but if you look at my photo from the sidewalk, you’ll see it’s in what appears to be a music shop with an all black facade. You walk in the entrance, turn left, and press open the saloon door that has pictures of Roman and omen on it (see my photos). Drinks are pricey, but the bartenders know what they’re doing and make some great cocktails. I tried some on-menu drinks and also had the bartender make me some off-menu stuff based on various descriptions. They have a nice range of alcohol, and do a good job with presentation and atmosphere inside the bar. There’s also a second level to the bar where you’ll find additional seating. Overall it’s a cool experience that’s worth trying if you’re into speakeasies and want to do something a little different. I can also see this working very well as a fun date spot with the right person.
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
