Calm Massage and Spa ( Inthawarorot branch )
Located on Khang Ruan Jum Road in the Si Phum district, this massage and spa sits within easy walking distance of Chiang Mai's Old City, making it a practical and popular choice for travellers looking to recover after long days of sightseeing and temple visits. The Inthawarorot branch has earned a strong reputation among both visitors and locals for the consistent quality of its practitioners and the care taken throughout each session. Guests can expect a thoughtful experience from the moment they arrive, typically beginning with a welcoming drink before moving into personalised touches such as oil selection prior to treatment. The spa offers a range of services including traditional Thai massage, deep tissue massage, and back, head and shoulder treatments. The atmosphere is frequently described as peaceful and beautifully presented, and while pricing sits slightly above some competitors in the city, the standard of care is widely regarded as reflecting that difference. Walk-ins and small groups are generally accommodated, making it a realistic option without advance planning. Good to know: Specific opening hours and pricing are not listed online, so it is worth calling ahead or stopping by in person to confirm availability and discuss treatment options. Demand tends to be higher during Chiang Mai's peak tourist season between November and February, so visiting earlier in the day or outside weekends may improve the chances of securing a preferred time slot. The central location is easily reached on foot from most Old City accommodation or by songthaew from elsewhere in the city.

Visitor Reviews
What a relaxing experience! After a long day of walking around Chiang Mai's Old City, my feet and calves were incredibly sore. Luckily, I found this place near my hotel, so I just walked in in the afternoon and didn't have to wait. The ambiance was fantastic, and the lemongrass tea and snacks provided after the massage were very thoughtful. The massage technique was superb; I even slept the whole time! Highly recommended!
I went with a group of 3 and they were able to accommodate walk-ins. Ihad a full body Thai deep tissue massage and I highly recommend! Staff were super friendly and attentive. They first great you with a very refreshing lemongrass tea, then led you to the massage rooms. The facility is very clean and tidy. After the massage, they provided us with hot tea and refreshment. Overall a great experience and worth the price!
I've had several massage in Chiang Mai, but I have to say this one is the best. I did Back/ head & shoulder massage today, and yes, it's a little bit more expensive than others, but it's so worth it. The aroma, the decoration of the store, the chilling music, and the warm welcome from receptionists really complete the whole experience It's a 5 out of 5 experience

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
