Herbal Ground Spa
Tucked along Sukhumvit Soi 39 in Bangkok's Watthana district, Herbal Ground Spa specialises in traditional Thai wellness treatments rooted in herbal healing practices. The space itself sets the tone — visitors consistently describe the interior as calm, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with the atmosphere contributing to the experience before any treatment begins. Therapists are frequently praised by name, pointing to a consistent standard of skilled, attentive service across the team. The treatment menu ranges from deep tissue Thai oil massage and herbal compress therapy to body scrubs, facials, and head massage. Hour-long massage sessions are available at accessible rates, while multi-hour packages — including a popular five-hour couples day spa combining body scrub, deep tissue massage, herbal compress, leg massage, and facial — suit those wanting a more immersive experience. Pressure levels and preferences are accommodated attentively, making it a comfortable choice for both first-time spa visitors and regulars. The spa is open every day from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, making it easy to work into most Bangkok itineraries whether as a morning reset or an evening wind-down after sightseeing. Current promotions and package deals are listed on the spa's website, which is worth checking before arrival. Advance booking is recommended, particularly between November and February during Bangkok's peak tourist season, to secure a preferred therapist or time slot.

Visitor Reviews
I was recommended this place by a colleague who told me it was very professional and that the massage was really well done. This is already my second time here, and I can honestly say the technicians are of very high quality. The massages are excellent, the space is very clean, and they offer tea both before and after the session, which is a very nice touch. I would honestly come back every week. Highly recommended, especially for the quality of the service and the technicians. My therapist was Kick, and for now he is the one I recommend to everyone. I haven’t tried the others yet, but from my friend’s experience (he comes here often), they are all at a very good level. What I really appreciate is the welcome before the massage, where you can explain the areas of pain or general discomfort, so the experience feels truly personalized.
I had such a beautiful experience here. From the moment I walked in, the space felt calm, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The ambience alone makes you feel relaxed straight away. Cake was my therapist and she was absolutely amazing. I had the body scrub, oil massage, and head massage, and each part was done with so much care and attention. The body scrub left my skin feeling incredibly smooth, the oil massage was deeply relaxing without being too firm, and the head massage was honestly the highlight. I felt completely switched off by the end. Everything felt professional, unhurried, and genuinely therapeutic. I walked out feeling lighter, refreshed, and so well looked after. Highly recommend asking for Cake if you visit. I’ll definitely be back.
The couples 5 hour day spa is like going to heaven! My partner and I chose the 5 hour treatment, body scrub, deep tissue massage, herbal compress, leg massage and facial. We came out feeling light as a feather. What incredible treatment and package at a fraction of what it would cost in UK. Snacks and refreshments are provided half way and there are breaks to go to the bathroom etc. We look forward to returning. The perfect treat to rest those weary traveller legs. Heaven in a spa!

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
