Cafe Delight Phuket Old Town
Tucked along Thanon Ratsada in Phuket Old Town, Cafe Delight is a well-regarded daytime cafe drawing visitors and locals alike with its carefully prepared food, warm hospitality, and relaxed atmosphere. The setting complements the surrounding Sino-Portuguese architecture of the historic district, offering a calm retreat from the busier parts of the island. The menu spans breakfast and brunch classics alongside Thai dishes, smoothie bowls, salads, desserts, and specialty coffee, catering to a broad range of tastes and dietary preferences, including halal options. Visitors frequently highlight the quality of the scrambled eggs, fresh croissants, avocado dishes, and coffee, with presentation and use of fresh ingredients noted as consistent strengths. Portions are generous, and the staff are widely praised for being friendly and attentive without being rushed. Good to know: Cafe Delight is closed on Mondays, so plan accordingly. The cafe opens at 8am Tuesday through Sunday and closes at 6pm, making it well-suited for a leisurely breakfast or a mid-morning stop while exploring Old Town on foot. The Thanon Ratsada location places it within easy walking distance of the district's heritage shophouses, temples, and local markets, so a visit here pairs naturally with a broader wander through the neighbourhood. Arriving earlier in the day is advisable, as popular cafes of this style in Phuket Old Town can fill up by mid-morning, particularly on weekends.

Visitor Reviews
Outstanding late breakfast – the best we’ve had so far. Everything was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly made with care and fresh ingredients. The food was simply divine. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Communication was easy, as their English is very good. A place we will happily return to and highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly great breakfast experience.
Cafe Delight is such a cute little cafe with super friendly staff! We went for breakfast but they have so many amazing food options it would be great for any meal. The portions were great and everything tasted amazing, the sriracha mayo on the breakfast sandwich was especially delicious. We might have to go back to try more of their extensive menu!
Had a wonderful breakfast at Cafe Delight this morning, super quick service, really friendly and smiley staff and the food was absolutely delicious! We went for the breakfast sandwich and the avocado toast, both were so full of flavour and went down a treat, would highly recommend! Also great hot chocolate & coffee 😊⭐️

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
