Chillva Market
Chillva Market is a popular nightly street market in the Ratsada area of Phuket, drawing both locals and visitors with its relaxed atmosphere and wide mix of food stalls, handmade products, and independent shops. Open every day of the week from 5pm to 11pm, it offers a convenient alternative to weekend-only markets and is particularly accessible for travellers staying in or around Phuket City. The market has a distinctly social feel, centred around a large open-air communal area where live band music regularly performs. Food and drink options are plentiful and budget-friendly — a popular lemon and honey tea goes for around 35 baht — alongside grilled meats, seafood, snacks, and fresh fruit. Beyond food, the market features a good selection of local souvenirs, handmade crafts, and unique small shops that reward a slow browse. For those looking for a larger-scale market experience, visitors may want to combine a trip here with Naka Market, which operates on weekends and tends to be more expansive. Chillva is best suited to those after a relaxed evening out with a solid variety of food and casual shopping in one spot. Arriving around opening time helps secure the best seating in the communal area before the crowds build later in the evening.

Visitor Reviews
The lemon tea with honey is amazing, especially for just 35 baht a must try. Most of the food here is reasonably priced and worth it. There’s a large public area with live band music, which creates a great atmosphere, plus plenty of souvenir shops to walk around and explore. Compared to other places, I think this spot is definitely worth visiting. It truly feels like a real night market, not a tourist trap.
Chillva Night Market is a vibrant and lively place to visit in Phuket. It offers a great variety of street food, snacks, drinks, and unique local items at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is fun and colorful, with container-style shops and live music adding to the experience. A great spot to enjoy local food, walk around, and experience Phuket’s night market culture. Definitely worth a visit in the evening.
Chillva Market was such a nice experience! The atmosphere is really cool and lively. There are so many handmade products, souvenirs, and unique little shops perfect for walking around and finding something special. The food options were very interesting and exotic, but we personally didn’t risk trying them. Overall, a great place to visit for the vibe and shopping. Highly recommend!

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
