The Best Restaurant
Tucked just a short walk from Klong Muang Beach in Krabi, this casual open-air restaurant has built a loyal following among visitors to the area, particularly those staying at nearby properties like Anyavee Krabi Resort. The no-shoes policy sets the tone immediately — this is relaxed, unpretentious dining where the focus is firmly on the food, which regulars describe as simple, flavourful, and genuinely satisfying at budget-friendly prices. The atmosphere is friendly and the space is kept clean and well-organised, making it comfortable for solo travellers, couples, and families alike. The kitchen appears to handle both lunch and dinner crowds consistently, and several visitors return specifically during repeat trips to Klong Muang Beach, which speaks to the reliability of the experience. The menu leans into affordable Thai dishes executed with care rather than elaborate presentation. Good to know: The restaurant opens at 11:00 AM and closes at 9:00 PM, six days a week — note that it is closed on Mondays. As with most popular spots in beach areas, service wait times can stretch during busy periods, as at least one visitor has noted. Arriving outside of peak meal hours gives a smoother experience. Remember to remove your shoes before entering, as this is an enforced house rule that reflects the relaxed, respectful culture of the place.

Visitor Reviews
I have to say, this was hands down the best meal I’ve ever had in Thailand. Despite being incredibly simple and affordable, every bite was bursting with flavor. The dish was delicate yet satisfying, perfectly balanced, and absolutely unforgettable. Sometimes the simplest meals are the most remarkable, and this one is a perfect example. I can honestly say it’s a culinary experience I’ll never forget. People here are super friendly, atmosphere feels local-traditional, wouldnt change a thing. The best restaurant is worthy of its name – the food there is so excellent that the name is not just a word, but a truth. Meals on the pic: Mango sticky rice, Pad Thai with fried egg on the top, Fried rice omelett with chicken, Mixed vegetables salad.
Really love this place, just a 3-minute walk from Klong Muang Beach. We stop here for lunch every time we come to the beach. The atmosphere is super friendly, and the place is clean and nicely set up. We’ve tried different dishes like curry, tom yum and papaya salad, and everything has been tasty and made exactly to the spice level we asked for. My personal favorite is the roti. It’s more expensive than street roti, but it looks great and tastes amazing. Prices are affordable and the toilet is clean. The only small thing for me is the shakes. Some days they feel a bit watery. Overall, still highly recommend this place.
Usually restaurants called “The Best” are actually shitty. That is NOT the case here. No shoes on in the restaurant, which is actually kind of nice that they enforce this rule out of respect. The food and flavors here are incredible. Simply some of the best we have eaten in Thailand. We had mango spicy salad, green curry rice, and pad Thai. Sunset at Klong Muang beach and then dinner here? You have the perfect night in Krabi without the headache and ridiculous prices of Ao Nang.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
