Blue Sky Rooftop at Centara Grand Ladprao
Perched on the 24th floor of Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao, Blue Sky offers an open-air rooftop setting with sweeping views across the Bangkok skyline. The atmosphere balances refinement with ease — polished enough for a special occasion, relaxed enough for an evening out with friends. Sunset is a particular draw, as the city transitions from golden light to a sprawling grid of lights below.
The menu focuses on European cuisine, with dishes such as grilled river prawns, steak, and shareable platters making regular appearances in visitor accounts. Desserts receive consistent praise. Beyond food, the venue functions as a full bar, making it equally suited to cocktails and late-night drinks as it is to a sit-down dinner. Service is a recurring highlight, with staff noted for attentiveness and genuine care — including going out of their way for guests marking milestone occasions.
Blue Sky is open every evening from 6 PM to 1 AM, seven days a week, giving flexibility for both early dinners and late-night visits. The later hours make it a natural stop after exploring the Chatuchak and Ladprao area of northern Bangkok. Smart casual attire fits the setting well. Given the rooftop location and consistent popularity, booking ahead is advisable — particularly on weekends. The venue is accessed through the Centara Grand hotel, which sits adjacent to Central Plaza Ladprao.

Our first dinner at Blue Sky Restaurant on top of the Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok. First thing you see is the view !!! Very beautiful, watching the sun set and city lights sprouting up everywhere ! Our server was a very beautiful Nittha. Her warmth and charm instantly promised a nice evening ! Her service was second to none. She was always there to respond to even a glance. It was very, very nice ! The food was nicely and attractively served, and quite delicious. The entire meal from the very start to the finish was really nice. My Fiancé very much appreciated the evening as well. It was quite a romantic evening for the both of us. Enjoy !!!
I couldn't have picked a better place for one of the most important moments of my life! I chose Blue Sky Rooftop for my marriage proposal, and the experience was flawless. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly, ensuring everything went smoothly. They even surprised us with a lovely treat on the house to celebrate our engagement! Beyond the incredible service, the food was absolutely delicious and the views were stunning. If you're looking for a romantic spot with a team that truly cares, this is it. Thank you for making our night so special
Excellent rooftop restaurant and bar serving European cuisine. I shared a platter with large river prawns and steak along with the best onion rings. Dessert was amazing, we chose the chocolate cappuccino and the staff gave us an additional anniversary dessert. View was nice from 24th floor with a beautiful sunset.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
Nearby Places

JJ Mall Food Court
Air-con, cheap Thai stalls and mango sticky rice worth the detour from Chatuchak's heat.
Similar Restaurants & Food Across Thailand

Central Pattaya
A big air-conditioned mall on Beach Road where the food court does the heavy lifting.

The Village Farm To Café
Looks like nothing from the highway, then opens up into green fields, high ceilings and properly fresh food.

Moom Aroi Na Kluea
Big waterfront seafood hall where the prawns justify the premium, if you time it for sunset.

Pupen Seafood
Big open-air seafood barn across from Jomtien Beach, and the blue crab in yellow curry is the reason to come.
