JJ Mall Food Court
Located on the second floor of JJ Mall in the Chatuchak district, this food court serves as a practical and affordable dining stop for shoppers exploring the area. It operates daily, with weekday hours running from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and extended hours until 8:00 PM on weekends. The air conditioning is a genuine draw, offering real relief from Bangkok's heat after time spent at the adjacent Chatuchak Weekend Market. Stalls are predominantly Thai, covering familiar staples at typical Bangkok food court prices. One dish that draws repeat visitors is the mango sticky rice, which has earned consistent praise for its quality. Beyond food, the broader JJ Mall building houses a wide variety of shops, and the entrance area occasionally features live puppet music, adding a low-key entertainment element to the visit. Payment operates on a coupon system, where tokens are purchased upfront and redeemed across different stalls — a common format in Bangkok food courts. Crucially, unused coupons are non-refundable, so buying in small increments is the sensible approach, particularly for first-time visitors. Stall holder service can vary, and food quality is generally solid rather than exceptional. The food court is best visited as part of a wider Chatuchak trip, especially on weekends when the famous market next door is in full operation. Arriving mid-afternoon can help avoid the busiest periods at popular stalls.

Visitor Reviews
The best mango sticky rice that I've come across in Thailand has been at a stall at JJ Mall Food court. Hands down this is the sweetest mango ever!! I have returned for this dish whenever I visit Bangkok.
Very cheap food court, clean also, the mall location just opposite the Chatuchak Weekend Market… The puppet live music in the entrance was very entertaining for the guest…
So many shops!! There is everything here. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was due to one shop experience. However, there are many shops here with oils, furniture, clothes.. just everything.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
