Chatuchak Night Market
Chatuchak Night Market is a large, labyrinthine market in Bangkok's Chatuchak district, drawing visitors with its vast and eclectic mix of merchandise spanning clothing, shoes, bags, kitchenware, antiques, handmade crafts, home décor, and local souvenirs. The sheer scale of the place — with stalls organized across numerous sections — makes it a genuine exploration for shoppers hunting for unique or hard-to-find items, alongside a lively street food scene running throughout. The atmosphere shifts depending on when you visit. Weekend evenings bring a nightlife energy that some visitors find unexpectedly vibrant, while weekday hours offer a quieter, more subdued experience with fewer stalls open. That said, some visitors have noted that the market has felt less impressive in recent years, with certain stalls closed and food options limited or overpriced on off-peak visits. Bargaining is part of the culture here, though some shoppers report that vendors are less flexible than expected. To get the most out of a visit, Thursday through Sunday offers the widest selection of open stalls and the fullest market experience. Arriving early on weekend days helps avoid the heaviest crowds. Bring cash, as many smaller vendors do not accept card payments, wear comfortable shoes for the extensive walking involved, and check the official website at chatuchakmarket.org for current vendor and section information before heading out.

Visitor Reviews
Enjoyed the weekend night market. Looking forward to seeing it during the daytime. Tons of stalls still open. Loved the nightlife experience…that was unexpected but very much appreciated.
Massive massive place with hundreds of stalls selling everything; shoes, bags, clothings, souvenirs, kitchenware, cockeries, collectibles, etc. Lots of food stalls too. It is like a maze inside and easy to loose your sense of directions. You need at least half a day to explore the place.
Chatuchak night market is overly hiped. Most of items are overpriced n they don't let you do more bargaining.. that's may be you tubers have promoted this place too much.. one I first visited chatuchak market in 2014 that time this market was cheap n good for shopping now you will find very less options to buy as the prices are very over priced.. but still this market is recommended to visit for a walk.. you will have a good time.. walking in the market..

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
