House of Suzy
Tucked slightly off the main tourist strip in Baan Lamai, House of Suzy has built a strong reputation as one of the area's most stylish and well-executed bars. The venue leans toward the sophisticated end of Koh Samui's nightlife spectrum, with a carefully considered interior and a level of service that stands out on an island where casual beach bars dominate. It draws a loyal mix of travellers and locals who appreciate the combination of quality drinks and genuine atmosphere. The cocktail menu is a clear highlight, with a wide variety on offer and evident skill behind the bar. Regular DJ nights and live music add energy to the evenings, giving the venue a club-like dimension without losing its intimate feel. The staff receive consistent praise from visitors for their friendliness and professionalism, and the overall vibe leans social and welcoming rather than exclusive. Google Place data also notes a food offering with Chinese and dim sum influences, so it may be worth checking whether kitchen service is available on the night you visit. Good to know: House of Suzy does not have listed opening hours or a website, so it is worth asking at your accommodation or checking locally before heading over. The Baan Lamai location is accessible by songthaew or taxi from most parts of Koh Samui, and being slightly off the main tourist drag means it tends to attract a crowd looking for something a step above the typical strip bar experience.

Visitor Reviews
This is an absolute gem in the center of Lamai. Beautifully crafted cocktails? Check. Wonderful staff and people? Check. Top notch ambience? Check. A little bit off the tourist track - which is great...! Perfect for those evenings where you want a bit of a chill and catch up with friends. Hope they bring in live music at some point. :)
A hidden gem! Sophisticated bar with highly skilled staff. Wonderful drinks and the best service at the bar! Sober interior. Without a doubt the best bar in the area. Clubbing with really good DJs on the weekend. This place made my stay in Koh Samui! Highly recommended!
A very stylish establishment, done with taste. Amazing parties and live music. Great atmosphere, friendly owners, and excellent service. For Thailand, this is luxury. Special thanks for that.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
