Central Samui
Central Samui is the island's most established shopping centre, drawing both residents and tourists to its sprawling indoor and open-air layout in Bo Put. The complex is divided into distinct wings, housing a broad mix of international brands and local retailers alongside stalls where independent artists sell handmade goods — making it a practical one-stop destination for everything from fashion and souvenirs to everyday essentials. The dining options are a genuine highlight, with a vibrant food court serving traditional Thai dishes and fresh juices alongside a wide range of cafés and restaurants. Families are well catered for, with a dedicated children's play area staffed with supervisors — a feature that sets it apart from most shopping options on the island. The combination of air-conditioned interiors and open breezeways makes the space comfortable to navigate even during the hotter parts of the day. Good to know: Central Samui opens daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, making it a dependable option for both afternoon browsing and evening meals. The open-air sections can get warm at midday, so lighter clothing is advisable. Parking is generally available without difficulty, and visiting on a weekday outside of the lunch and dinner rushes will mean a noticeably quieter experience.

Visitor Reviews
This is a great shopping mall with a huge number of shops, as well as many cafés and restaurants. There is also a very nice children’s room, even for very young kids, with staff supervising them, which is a big plus. The location is excellent, and it is especially nice that Chaweng night market is located nearby, making the area even more lively and convenient to visit. In addition, there are lots of entertainment options, so there is plenty to do besides shopping. If you are traveling with children, this mall is definitely worth visiting.
This mall is the biggest and most comfortable one in Koh Samui, and it pretty much has everything you need. The traditional Thai food I had at the night market here was really good. The watermelon juice, especially, was super fresh and sweet. The food stalls were clean and hygienic, too. I also bought some Thai souvenirs here. I highly recommend this place!
It’s a huge indoor/outdoor mall with various “wings” of stops. There’s also a handful of stalls with local artists selling goods. Great location on Koh Samui to get your shopping done! There’s also a baby market right outside the shopping mall, as well as the Chaweng Night Market across the street.

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
