Aksorn is chef David Thompson's Thai restaurant on the fifth floor of Central: The Original Store, the restored department store on Charoen Krung Road in Bang Rak. Thompson works like a historian here, reviving recipes from mid-twentieth-century Thai cookbooks, and the dishes arrive together, family style, the way a Thai meal is eaten. The spicing is balanced and fairly mild, and you can sit by the open kitchen or out on the terrace.

The 2026 MICHELIN Guide Thailand gives it one star. It's open every night from 18:00 to 23:00 and sits in the guide's second-highest price band, cheaper than most of the city's starred Thai rooms.
