Why go, and how to do it well

EmSphere opened on Sukhumvit in December 2023 as the third mall of the EM District, across the road from Emporium and EmQuartier at BTS Phrom Phong, and a skywalk brings you in from the station. It leans toward eating and going out more than designer shopping, with restaurants, bars and food halls taking much of the space.

Two things set it apart. IKEA Sukhumvit, the first city-center IKEA in Southeast Asia, is inside, which is handy if you're setting up an apartment in Bangkok. And UOB Live, a hall for up to 6,000 people, brings international concerts, so check what's on if you're staying nearby.
