Diamond Resort Phuket

4.6(1,658 reviews)

Tucked away in the quieter Cherngtalay district near Bang Tao Beach, Diamond Resort Phuket is an all-suite hotel that appeals to travellers seeking a relaxed, unhurried stay away from the crowds of Patong. The resort is set within beautifully landscaped grounds, with a courtyard pool surrounded by tropical greenery that gives the property a tranquil, resort-like atmosphere. Guests consistently highlight the warmth and attentiveness of the staff, who are known for greeting arrivals promptly and going out of their way to make stays comfortable. The facilities are well-suited to both couples and families. An international restaurant is on-site, and a free beach shuttle adds practical convenience for those wanting to spend time by the water without the hassle of arranging transport. The Bang Tao area itself is notably less commercialised than other parts of Phuket, making this a solid choice for travellers who prefer a quieter base with easy access to surrounding areas. Good to know: the resort operates around the clock, so late arrivals and early departures are easily accommodated. Those planning an extended stay — even a month-long visit — have noted the grounds hold up well over time. Booking directly through the resort's website is worth considering, as it may offer the most up-to-date availability and rate information.

Visitor Reviews

I really liked this hotel. The staff were friendly and polite, the location was convenient, and the views were beautiful. The only downside was a small inconsistency in the hotel’s “quiet hours” logic: there’s a restaurant on-site that sometimes hosts live concerts, and the music can be heard in our room until around 11 pm or midnight (not extremely loud, but definitely noticeable). At the same time, the pool closes around 9–10 pm, supposedly to keep things quiet for guests at night. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this hotel! 😊

We stayed at Diamond Resort Phuket for a week and absolutely loved our time here! The staff were incredibly helpful from the moment we arrived — they grabbed our bags right away and made sure we didn’t have to carry anything to our room. We were kindly given a room upgrade to a deluxe suite with a pool view, which was fantastic. The room was spotless and cleaned to an immaculate standard every day, with fresh sheets and towels provided. We had breakfast each morning and were really impressed by the variety, which changed daily. On our first night, we dined in the restaurant as we arrived late — the food was delicious and served piping hot. We also ordered room service a few times, which was just as good! The hotel app is super handy — you can easily book the complimentary shuttle bus to nearby spots like the beach or Boat Avenue. The pool area is large with plenty of space to relax, and the atmosphere around the resort is calm and welcoming. I also accidentally left a few belongings behind when packing quickly, and the staff messaged me right away to let me know and kept them safe until I could collect them — really great customer service! Overall, a wonderful stay — clean rooms, friendly staff, great food, and excellent facilities. Would highly recommend Diamond Resort Phuket to anyone visiting the area!

We had a fantastic family stay and really enjoyed our time here. The location is excellent, with easy access to nearby areas, and the shuttle service was very useful and reliable. The facilities are well maintained and ideal for a family holiday, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were attentive, friendly, and consistently helpful. A special mention goes to Nan, the Guest Relations Manager, who went well above and beyond to ensure our stay was smooth and memorable. Her dedication and personal touch truly stood out. Overall, a great property that we would happily recommend and return to.

Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts

Book Shoulder Season

May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.

Compare OTAs and Direct Rates

Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.

Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive

Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
