Eight spaces boutique hotel
Tucked away in the Tambon Maret area of Koh Samui, Eight Spaces Boutique Hotel is a small, well-maintained property offering a calm and private alternative to the island's busier resort strips. With only eight rooms, the hotel maintains a genuinely intimate atmosphere — guests consistently note how quiet both the building and surrounding neighbourhood are, making it an appealing choice for those seeking rest over resort-style activity. The property also features spa facilities, adding a further layer of comfort for longer stays. The rooms are described by guests as modern and exceptionally clean, with the property itself kept in stylish condition throughout. A small pool is available on-site and is maintained to a high standard. The owner, Ofeer, is frequently praised for being responsive and friendly, handling any issues promptly — a quality that stands out in guest feedback. The hotel has attracted a number of long-term guests who have stayed for weeks or even months at a time, suggesting it offers good value and a homely environment alongside its boutique credentials. Those considering a longer stay will find Eight Spaces particularly well suited to that purpose, with its peaceful location placing it just a short distance from local amenities. Prospective guests should note that no website is currently listed, so reaching out through booking platforms or direct contact is advisable when making reservations. The hotel appears to suit independent travellers and those looking to slow down rather than guests in search of a lively social scene.

Visitor Reviews
I stayed here for 9 months this year, it's very suitable and affordable for long term stays. It's very quiet in the building and the neighborhood, only 8 rooms and I barely noticed or heard anyone else. All the rooms are about the same, just which way you look out on your balcony. You can also go to the roof and look at the ocean or barbecue. It's about 5 minute walk to a very quiet, beach, and just 5 minutes or so drive into Lamai. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and probably the best coffee on the island at 1% Coffee, which is a 2 minute walk. There's a Cafe KOB, Tops and 7/11 close by as well. I had Makro and Lotus deliver my food/water which was easy to do, or got Grab/7/11 deliveries. Room is cleaned weekly and sheets are changed by a nice, trustworthy staff member. Kitchen and room are small but functional, pool is good for cooling off. The manager was very easy going, helpful and provided my deposit back in full at the end of my stay. Its' also easy to get to the south and west side of the island which is the quiet part. If you are looking for a quiet place to chill, this is the place!
I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful boutique hotel in Koh Samui. The building is very well maintained, stylish, and spotless. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the staff clearly takes great care of the property. The room was thoroughly cleaned once a week, and daily upkeep was also done very well. The hotel is located in a quiet and peaceful area with a beautiful view of the hills, which makes it perfect for relaxing. At the same time, it’s very convenient — only about a 5-minute walk to the nearest beach and just 5 minutes by scooter to the center of Lamai. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm, clean, and well-kept boutique hotel in a great location on Koh Samui. We would definitely stay here again! The owner is extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful. He truly cares about his guests and is always ready to assist whenever needed, making the stay even more comfortable and enjoyable.
I have been staying here for a month soon. The apartment has been even better than i expected. Staying here has been really nice and it has felt like home. I like the peaceful location of it. Just 2-3 minutes with motorbike and you’re in the middle of Lamai restaurants and the beach. The host Ofeer has also been very nice and helpful. I can highly recommend.
Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
