Ko Samui Boat Charter

4.9(490 reviews)

Operating daily from a base in Tambon Maret on Koh Samui's southern coast, this charter service specialises in guided boat tours and private yacht experiences across the waters surrounding one of Thailand's most celebrated island destinations. The standout offering is a full-day excursion to Ang Thong National Marine Park, a protected archipelago of limestone islands, emerald lagoons, and secluded beaches accessible only by sea. Private charters aboard vessels such as the Red Dragon provide a more exclusive setting for those seeking a quieter, personalised day on the water. Visitors can expect a well-organised experience that typically includes snorkelling, kayaking, swimming, and island exploration, with safety equipment, crew supervision, and onboard food and snacks provided throughout the day. Guides are noted for their local knowledge and attentiveness, and the atmosphere leans relaxed and unhurried rather than rushed or overly commercial. The operation runs extended hours daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, accommodating both early departures and sunset excursions. Good to know: Booking ahead is strongly advisable, particularly between November and February when demand is highest and preferred departure slots fill quickly. Visitors should bring swimwear, reef-safe sun protection, and a waterproof bag for valuables. Weather conditions in the Gulf of Thailand can occasionally affect routing, so arriving early gives time to discuss options with the crew. Full details on available tours and charter packages are listed on the operator's website at kosamuiboatcharter.com.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Perfect Day in Koh Samui! We had an incredible day on this luxurious yacht — truly one of the highlights of our trip! The whole experience felt so exclusive and peaceful; we didn’t encounter a single other cruise the entire day, which made it feel like we had the ocean all to ourselves. The kayaking was so much fun, and the snorkeling was simply breathtaking. I’ve visited many beautiful places, but the sheer amount and variety of fish and corals here blew me away. The atmosphere on board was wonderfully relaxed and fun for everyone — we had kids and adults of all ages, and everyone had a fantastic time. Meeting and chatting with people from all over the world added to the charm and made the day even more special. The crew was amazing — so friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to make sure we were happy. They constantly checked in, served drinks, and made everything effortless for us. And the food… wow! Everything was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious — we even got fresh fruit and ice cream! I had the best green curry of my entire two weeks in Thailand. We felt blissfully spoilt from start to finish. If you want a truly special experience away from the tourist crowds, this tour is an absolute must-do.

A fantastic all-day boat tour of the Koh Samui Ang Thong National Marine Park islands. Our tour guide Two was great, he was very approachable and spoke incredible English. We learnt a lot about the islands as well as being able to see so many of them. All soft drinks were included and there was no shortage available for everyone. Our group was about 25 people, which was ideal as it still felt personal but we had others to share the experience with. The food provided was fantastic, it was all cooked fresh on the boat and was some of the tastiest Thai food we had. They made sure to cater for everyone and provided plenty. The pick-up and drop off direct to our hotel, included in our ticket, worked smoothly without any issues. The additional activities of kayaking, snorkelling and going onto one the main islands to see the lagoon were well organised and managed. Certainly an experience that we would recommend as was great value and completely worth it.

Wow the most amazing trip on the Red Dragon ‘Ten out of Ten’ and this was down to the wonderful team and itinerary. Thank you so much to the guides Two, Tanya and Nico, the lady chefs (the food was delicious) and the rest of the team, the service you provided was exceptional. We would highly recommend Ko Samui Boat Charter for your trip to Ang Thong Marine Park, you are missing out if you don’t!

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries

Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.

Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide

These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.

Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning

Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
