Rocky's Boutique Resort - Veranda Collection Samui
Compare prices
Perched along the southern coast of Koh Samui in Tambon Maret, Rocky's Boutique Resort is a well-established beachfront property that has drawn loyal guests for decades. The resort sits directly on a small private beach, offering guests a genuinely secluded setting with views that are particularly rewarding at sunrise and sunset. Accommodation options range from lofty ocean view rooms in newer buildings to beachfront suites with direct beach access and private infinity or plunge pools, making it a natural choice for honeymoons, anniversaries, and longer leisure stays. Guests can expect attentive, personalised service from staff who are consistently praised in visitor feedback. The resort features two swimming pools, two dining options, and two bars, giving it a self-contained feel without being overwhelming in scale. The beachfront rooms remain the most coveted, offering the experience of waking to the sound of waves and stepping almost directly onto the sand. The beach itself is on the smaller side, which suits those seeking a quieter atmosphere over a lively strip. A practical note for visitors: the beach has a rocky shoreline in places, so packing water shoes is advisable, particularly for those who plan to swim regularly. Rooms with plunge pools and direct beach access are limited in number, so booking well in advance is recommended, especially during peak season between December and March. The resort's website at rockyresort.com is the most reliable channel for room selection and current availability.

Visitor Reviews
We are just home from our 2 week stay at Rockys. We had a wonderful holiday. We stayed at a Lofty Ocean View room. These rooms are in a building that is quite new. The room was very spacious, large balcony, large bed, nice bathroom and seperate room for the toilet which was good. The view was also beautiful. The only downside to the room is that it is located pretty close to the main road, which means that you can hear traffic in the room and on the balcony. It is not the worst, just something to keep in mind. The service was great, all the staff was incredibly nice and really wanted to help in any way they could. We had turndown service twice a day, everything was very clean and we loved the lighted candle with the scented oil in the evening. Shoutout to Keaw (but again, everyone was amazing)! The breakfast was nice, we like to have breakfast a bit later in the morning and even though breakfast was nearly ending, everything was stocked and you have the option to choose your breakfast from the menu in addition to the buffet. As far as the resort and the location; the resort is nice, it has a bar, restaurant and a bistro so food options are available. The food is good (I liked the lunch menu in particular), though it is more expensive than going out for food, specifically water. A big bottle (700 cl) was 220 baht excl. service fee and tax, so in total that converses to almost 7 euros which is a bit excessive. And one other thing is that after dinner the restaurant/bar dies down a bit. I’m not sure if that is because most people would rather go to lamai for drinks after dinner or if they just want to hang out in their rooms but it might have been fun to have some drinks later in the evening with maybe some music or something. Though I am also unsure if that might be disrupting for some of the rooms that are located near the bar. The pools are great, there are always enough beds available and clean pool towels which was nice and there a two small private beach areas as well. The location of the resort is about a 25 minute walk from lamai and by car around 5 to 10 minutes. If you are looking for a nearby option for lunch or dinner that is walkable. I recommend the restaurant Sabienglae. It is around 10 minutes for walking. And for lunch and/or coffee you can go to Lama Cafe. The coffee there was great. Overall we had a lovely vacation and we are fully relaxed and honestly sad to leave.
We had a wonderful honeymoon stay in one of the beach access suites with a private infinity pool, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. Waking up to the sound of the waves and having direct access to the beach made it incredibly special and romantic. The staff was exceptionally sweet, warm, and knowledgeable, always going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. From check-in to daily service, everything was seamless and thoughtful. They were very happy to help us plan and book our day trips and even dinner reservations. Would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable beachside getaway!
We were lucky enough to book one of the beach view rooms with plunge pool and it was incredible! We loved the small private beach for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful sunrise and sunsets. The rocky scenery is so unique and beautiful. We read some reviews saying you couldn't swim but we swam every day and it was beautiful. We also took out the kayaks they have for free and really enjoyed exploring the coastline around the area. The food at the restaurant is great and we also liked exploring outside the hotel around the grandfather rocks area which is walkable. Would absolutely stay again!
