Bodhi Serene, Chiang Mai
Compare prices
Tucked behind an unassuming entrance on Ratchapakhinai Road in the Phra Sing district, Bodhi Serene reveals itself as a lush, nature-filled escape that feels removed from the bustle of the city despite its central location. The property centres around a peaceful garden with a pond where frogs call after sunset and bats take flight in the early evening — small, memorable moments that set this hotel apart from more conventional city stays. Rooms are notably spacious, making the hotel a comfortable choice for couples, solo travellers, and families alike, while the outdoor pool and relaxed communal areas encourage guests to slow down and settle in. The hotel offers an international restaurant on-site and maintains a consistently welcoming atmosphere, with staff singled out repeatedly by guests for their attentiveness and warmth. Balcony views draw particular praise, and the property has a rustic, unhurried character that complements Chiang Mai's broader appeal as a destination for culture and nature. Wi-Fi is reported as reliable, which is useful for longer stays or remote workers. Bodhi Serene suits travellers who want a calm, characterful base rather than a polished high-rise experience. It is worth noting that only one key card per room is provided, which may require some coordination for groups. Breakfast is available but described as fairly simple, so guests may wish to explore the many local eateries within easy reach of the property. Booking directly through the hotel website is recommended for the most current rates and availability.

Visitor Reviews
ABSOLUTE DEAL. We stayed here only for 1 night but we absolutely loved it and would easily extend for another few nights :) The rooms are so spacious, leaving plenty of space for our kid to roam around (safely). All amenities provided were up to our standards (and there's 7-11 just across the road if you need anything else). Despite being located at the center of the old town, we barely heard any noise (car, motorbikes). We woke up to the sound of chirping birds and that was such a nice experience. Location is great and it's within walking distance to the Sunday Night walking market, some nice massage places and they also have laundry service next door In any future visit to Chiang Mai we will definitely stay in this hotel again.
The hotel entrance is a bit unassuming, but once you enter the property, it takes you into a nature oasis. We often encounter the frogs croaking by the pond after sunset. And sitting by the patio or terrace overlooking the pond is such a nice retreat from the bustling of nearby markets and shops. The room is quite spacious. I don’t know if every room is equipped with a jacuzzi tub but ours did. The concierge lady is very helpful, she helped me arrange a private car day trip with some unconventional logistics. Not only she delivered, she got me the best price in town. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
My husband and I have been traveling for 4 months. This hotel was by far our favorite out of all our stays. It was beautiful, relaxing, great pool, and had an amazing staff. Special shoutout to Poon for helping us extend our stay (several times) and the rest of the staff Palm, Kung and Douang for being friendly and accommodating throughout our 2 week stay. We only can wish to come again in the future. Thank you Bohdi ❤️
