ChabaPrai Massage
Tucked along Ratchamanka Road in Chiang Mai's historic old city, this wellness spa has built a strong reputation for delivering authentic Thai massage and spa treatments in a clean, peaceful environment. The central location — surrounded by temples, markets, and the old city's signature moat — makes it a natural stop for travellers exploring the area on foot. Guests can choose from a range of treatments including traditional Thai massage, hot oil aromatherapy massage, head treatments, and full-body scrub packages incorporating the spa's own aromatherapy oils. The interior is consistently described by visitors as well-organised and serene, offering a genuine sense of calm away from the surrounding streets. Couples frequently visit together, and solo travellers report feeling equally well looked after, with therapists noted for their attentiveness and skill. Good to know: Chiang Mai's peak tourist season runs from November through February, when demand for quality spa treatments increases noticeably. Booking in advance is advisable during this period, and it is worth contacting the spa directly or asking your accommodation to confirm current opening hours and availability, as these are not listed online. The Ratchamanka Road location is walkable from most old city guesthouses and hotels, making it straightforward to fit into a day of sightseeing.

Visitor Reviews
My husband and I had the most amazing experience here. I had the Thai massage with oil, and my husband had the head treatment with Bee and Som.. honestly, it was the best massage I’ve ever had. And that says a lot, because I’m a massage therapist myself. The pressure, flow, technique and attention to detail were absolutely spot on. You can really feel the care, skill, and passion behind every movement. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing, and Bee and Som made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. My husband loved his head treatment, and we both left feeling deeply relaxed, reset, and happy. Highly recommend, we will definitely be back. Thank you for such a special experience 🙏✨
f you’re looking to pamper yourself in a clean, serene environment, this spa is the place to be. I booked a package that included a full body scrub, aromatherapy oils unique to their facility, and a facial that left my skin soft, refreshed, and glowing. The staff’s superior service, attention to detail, and tranquil atmosphere make this location truly exceptional. I highly recommend it to family and friends who want to indulge in a luxurious and peaceful escape. I scheduled my appointment at 2:00 pm with Anne, which was the perfect time to enjoy a calm, relaxed setting away from peak hours. It made me feel special and pampered.
My wife and I got the hot oil aromatherapy massage, and it was incredible! It was definitely one of the best massages we’ve ever had, both in Thailand and abroad. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive and professional, all the way from the welcome drink and foot wash, through the massage itself, and the delicious rice crackers at the end. Everything was very clean and felt very tranquil. We definitely plan on coming back here. Highly recommend to everyone!
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
