About Santhiya Koh Phangan Resort & Spa
This is the anti-backpacker end of Koh Phangan. Timber-heavy Thai architecture, its own stretch of beach, and grounds that fall away toward the Gulf, all of it built for people who want to sleep in rather than find a party. If you're coming to the island for Haad Rin, book somewhere else and save yourself the taxi fares.
The setup is full-service, with a spa, pool, terrace dining looking out over the water, and a bar and restaurant that pull in non-guests as well as people staying, so it's not silent. Open-air spaces and thick greenery do most of the design work. The Bantai location puts real distance between you and the busier corner of the island, which is the whole point for some travelers and a drawback for others. Weigh that honestly before you book.
