Why go, and how to do it well
This is where the ferries and speedboats land, so treat it as the island's front door rather than a beach you'd spend the day on. Limestone cliffs rise behind the sand and the view along the coastline genuinely is something, but the water in front of you shares space with a constant churn of boat traffic. Reviewers are blunt about it not being the cleanest stretch on Phi Phi Don, and I'd take them at their word. Come for the setting, swim elsewhere.
What Ton Sai is good at is convenience. Shops, bars, dive centers and rock climbing outfitters line the back of the beach, so if you're here to learn to dive or get on the limestone, you're already where you need to be. Several people who visited on island-hopping day trips said they wished they'd booked a beachfront room instead and used the island as their base. I think that's the right instinct. Book ahead if you want to be right on the sand.

Beautiful beach but quite busy especially during lunch time because it is a lunch spot for those who take a phi phi island hopping. Here is the stop to eat. There are so many boats here. There are also a lot of shops available to buy foods, snacks or coffee. It's not that long but it's nice. There is also a chair service to rent here. Not sure if it is worth it or not..
One of the most famous beaches in Koh Phi Phi. It's probably not the cleanest, but we visited not during the high season, so it might depend on that as well. There are some areas that are packed with people, but you can also find areas that are quieter if you're looking for some peace & to be far away from noisy tourists. Although the water weren't the cleanest, the beach itself is still beautiful and offers great views of the coastline, and I"d definitely recommend paying it a visit when you're in Koh Phi Phi.
This beach is quite crowded in Phi Phi, mostly filled with boats and speedboats. There’s not much to enjoy on this side compared to the other side of the island.
