Loh Dalum Beach

Loh Dalum Beach is one of the most recognisable bays in the Phi Phi Islands, curving in a wide crescent along the northern shore of Phi Phi Don. Its shallow, clear turquoise water and soft sand draw visitors looking for both relaxed swimming and a sociable beach atmosphere. The bay sits just a short walk from the main village and pier, making it easily accessible without the need for additional boat transfers. The beach has a dual personality — calm and scenic during the day, with longtail boats dotting the water and vendors along the shore, it transitions into a lively hub in the evening as beachfront bars and fire shows draw both travellers and locals. The wide, open bay also offers views across to the surrounding limestone hills that define the Phi Phi landscape. Visitors should be aware that Loh Dalum is one of the most popular beaches on the island, meaning it can become crowded during peak season, which runs roughly from November through April. The bay is also prone to flooding during the monsoon months between May and October, and some facilities may be reduced during this period. Arriving early in the day is the best way to secure a quieter spot on the sand. No booking is required to access the beach itself.
