Phuket Dive Tours - Scuba Diving & Snorkeling Kata Beach
Based at Kata Beach in southern Phuket, this diving operation runs a full range of underwater experiences for visitors at every skill level — from first-time snorkelers and beginner divers to certified divers pursuing advanced qualifications. Beyond local reef dives, the outfit organises day trips to premier sites including Phi Phi Island and multi-day liveaboard-style expeditions to the Similan Islands, giving guests access to some of the Andaman Sea's most celebrated dive locations. Visitors can expect a structured, well-communicated experience from booking through to the dive itself. Instructors are noted for their patience and approachability with nervous or newly certified divers, and the team handles logistics — including timely pickups and thorough pre-dive briefings — with consistency. PADI certification courses, including Open Water and Advanced Open Water, are available for those looking to qualify or upgrade their certification during their stay. The operation functions as both a tour agency and a dive school, making it a practical one-stop option for underwater activities in the Karon and Kata area. Good to know: The dry season between November and April offers the calmest seas and best underwater visibility around Phuket, making it the ideal window for diving and snorkeling. Day trips to sites like Phi Phi can fill quickly during peak season, so booking ahead is advisable. Those pursuing certification courses should factor in multiple days, particularly for Advanced Open Water programmes that extend to destinations like the Similan Islands.

Visitor Reviews
Look no further for an amazing diving experience. We had some days left before our flight and made a last minute decision to go fun diving. We had a lot of questions, as we just got our Open Water Certificate, but Dave and Benz answered everything very quickly via WhatsApp. Kan was an amazing guide during our 3 fun dives. She informed us very well about each diving spot and made sure to check our equipment together (since we are still very new). Underwater she checked up on us and helped searching for some fishes we really wanted to see. The boat was also very comfortable and the food very good. Thank you so much to the whole Phuket Dive Tours-Team. We had an incredible day 😊
Last December I joined Phuket Dive Tours at Kata Beach for my Advanced Open Water certification with Laurent—an awesome, super-cool French instructor who made every dive fun and stress-free. We completed two shore dives for the cert, then I came back the next day for a three-dive excursion to King Cruiser, Shark Point, and Koh Doc Mai. The whole team was professional, well-organized, and I felt completely safe the entire time. Laurent is the best—highly recommend them for anyone in the Kata Beach area!
We had an amazing 2-day Advanced Course in the Similan Islands. The diving spots were absolutely stunning, and the whole trip was organized perfectly. The staff on the boat were so helpful and friendly, and our instructor was professional and made the learning process fun and easy. We felt very safe and well-taken care of the entire time. If you’re looking for a great diving experience with beautiful views and a professional team, this is it. Can’t wait to come back!

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
