Why go, and how to do it well
Dino Park is an 18-hole mini golf course on the road between Karon and Kata, laid out through a jungle garden full of life-size dinosaurs, animatronics that move and roar, waterfalls and a volcano that smokes and erupts. It has been a Karon landmark for years, and the theming is far better than the roadside facade suggests. Glow-up balls make an evening round the best one, when the lights come on around the course.
It works for a wide age range. Families with four-year-olds and parents with teenagers both rate it, and a round takes about an hour. It costs more than mini golf at home, roughly ฿700–800 for an adult round with a lower child rate for ages 3 to 12, and there's a cheaper walk-through ticket for people who just want to see the dinosaurs. Dino Kitchen and Dino Bar sit at the entrance for food and drinks after.
