Kata Noi Beach
If Kata proper feels like too much, walk on. This is the smaller cove next door, and the difference in noise and crowding is the whole point. The water comes in clear and turquoise, the sand is soft and kept clean, and the entry is shallow enough that families with small children and nervous swimmers can relax. There's snorkelling straight off the shore, no boat needed, which is rare on this side of the island.
It stays fairly natural. A few beachfront restaurants and vendors, grocery stores nearby if you'd rather buy your own water and snacks, and restaurants along the road at most budgets. Umbrellas are available, but there's enough width to just lay a towel down. Longtail boats sit at the left end of the beach for short runs to other coves. Stay for sunset if you can.

One of my favorite beaches in all of Thailand. Kata Noi is a beautiful sandy beach with clear water and a very relaxing atmosphere. It’s a relatively small beach, but still wide enough for everyone — there are umbrellas available, but there’s also plenty of space if you simply want to lay down your towel and enjoy the sea and the scenery. It’s also a wonderful place to watch the sunset. On the left side of the beach you can find longtail boats that can take you on small trips to other beaches like Karon Beach, Ya Nui Beach, Banana Beach and more. A truly lovely beach. I hope I can keep visiting it every year! 🏝️⛱️🌴
Kata Noi Beach, Phuket is a true gem. Clean, well-kept, and less crowded than many other beaches on the island, it offers a perfect balance between natural beauty and relaxation. The water is crystal clear, the sand soft and golden, and the atmosphere peaceful throughout the day. Ideal for swimming, sunbathing, or simply enjoying the view, Kata Noi feels refined and unspoiled at the same time. A wonderful place to experience the more serene side of Phuket.
The beach is beautiful and suitable for families with children. There weren't too many people during the season. Prices are similar to everywhere else. There are a couple of grocery stores nearby, and restaurants along the road to suit any budget.
