Pai expert travel
Located on Chai Songkram Road in the heart of Pai, this locally run travel agency specialises in organised tours and activities throughout the Mae Hong Son region. The business is family-owned and operated, with owner Mr. Dae personally involved in ensuring trips run smoothly. Offerings include popular day tour packages combining highlights such as Tham Lod Cave, the canyon, white buddha, and local waterfalls, as well as tubing and bamboo rafting on the river and multi-day trips further into northern Thailand. Visitors consistently note the agency's reliability and the quality of guiding, with tours described as well-organised and tailored to group preferences. The tubing experience is a particular draw, with guides reportedly well-prepared for unexpected situations on the water. Walk-ins are welcome, and at least some trips depart with little advance notice, making it a practical option for travellers without fixed plans. Good to know: opening hours listed cover the full day, but it is worth contacting the agency directly to confirm departure times and availability, especially for multi-day excursions. Those interested in bamboo rafting should confirm how much time is allocated to that activity before booking, as some visitors found it shorter than expected. No dedicated website is listed, so arranging trips in person at the Chai Songkram Road office is the most straightforward approach.

Visitor Reviews
Excellent service, very reliable. We took trip c including the tham lod cave which was amazing. Organized very well. All other attractions on this day were excellent. The owner, mr Dae is very responsible and reliable comparing to tour agents we used in chiang mai. Always smiling and explaining about the tour you book. Took the next day a short trip to elephant camp, almost 2 hours if riding, bareback, feeding and bathing in the river. Was very good and enjoyable memories. Do not hesitate just use his services. Thanks a lot mr. Dae and family.
Great tubing trip; we just walked into the office and half an hour later we were floating down the river. Luckily the guide had a spare tube because my wife hit a sharp branch. Wonderful views, water reasonably clean, good fun for our 8 to 71 aged family. Excellent service.
Very nice experience! We did tubing, cave, white buddha, canyon and waterfall tour and a two day tripp in the north! Excellent guiding, great experience! Would recomend!

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
