JIKKO BAR
Jikko Bar earns its reputation as something of a rarity in Pai — a bar with multiple beers on tap. While the town has no shortage of places to drink, visitors consistently highlight the draft selection as a genuine point of difference, with regulars noting that Singha on tap delivers noticeably more aroma and flavour than its canned counterpart. The lineup extends to craft and Asian beers, including IPA options, making it a natural stop for anyone who takes their beer seriously. The bar sits directly on Pai's walking street, which shapes much of the experience. Guests can settle in with a drink and watch the steady flow of foot traffic pass by, with MMA on the TV as an alternative distraction on quieter evenings. The atmosphere leans relaxed and unhurried — the kind of place suited to solo travellers reading a book as much as groups catching up over drinks. Food is available too, with pizza and french fries drawing praise as solid pairings with the tap beer. Good to know: Jikko Bar has the feel of a local fixture — one reviewer mentions returning across multiple visits spanning years — so it tends to draw a loyal mix of repeat visitors and newcomers rather than a purely tourist crowd. Pai sits at elevation and can get noticeably cool after dark, particularly outside the hot season, so a light layer is worth having on hand. Opening hours are not listed online, so checking with your accommodation before heading out is a sensible precaution.

Visitor Reviews
Very friendly staff. Bar is directly located on the Main Street and it’s just great to sit there watch the people, MMA on the tv or read a book. It’s they offer a great variety of Asians beers including some craft beers. I’d say , after some research on untappd, that none of the beers are mind-blowing but they are good. If you like beer and you are in Pai it’s definitely a go to as they also offer Singha, Budweiser (American) and Chang from tap.
A solid beer bar featuring draft options - perhaps not the only one in Pai, but likely the only place with several different beers on tap. The vibe is great, right on the walking street, making it perfect for people-watching and soaking in the lively night market. They also occasionally have live music, adding to the atmosphere.
Found this bar in Pai about 8 years ago and it’s still in my memory. Cozy, warm music, people passing by, good beer. A perfect spot to sit alone, watch life move around you and remember what really matters.
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
