Hua Hin Divers
Hua Hin Divers holds a notable position as the only dive operation in Hua Hin, making it the go-to resource for anyone looking to explore the underwater world while visiting this stretch of the Gulf of Thailand coast. Led by instructor Steve, the school offers PADI Open Water certification courses as well as recreational dives for those who are already certified, catering to solo travellers, couples, and families alike. Visitors consistently highlight Steve's patient and methodical teaching style, particularly his ability to put nervous beginners at ease. The courses cover essential safety practices and skills thoroughly before progressing, and Steve has a reputation for working well with younger divers, introducing children to the sport in an approachable and confidence-building way. Whether it is a first pool session or a full certification course, the experience is described as structured, safe, and genuinely enjoyable. As the sole dive school in the area, availability can be limited, so it is advisable to reach out and book in advance rather than attempting to organise a course on arrival. This is especially relevant for families or groups wanting to coordinate multiple activities at the same time. No website is currently listed, so direct contact is the most reliable way to confirm scheduling, pricing, and course options before making plans.

Visitor Reviews
I only have good things to say about Scuba Steve. Being the only dive school in Hua Hin I reached out to Steve to organise an OW diving course for my 14 yo daughter, diving for my husband and I and snorkelling for my 2 boys. My daughter had a great experience completing the open water Padi course under Steve’s instructorship. Her 2 younger brothers are keen to get their license too and I would absolutely want Steve to be their instructor in the future. He’s patient, reassuring, instructs in an engaging and fun way and most importantly, safety is always top of the agenda. I got my advance license in the early 2000s and having observed other instructors and dive masters over the years, Steve got my confidence quickly. Planning on WhatsApp a month in advance was easy. Plans changed multiple times and Steve was always flexible, even around Songkran festivities which I’m very appreciative of. Steve got poorly soon after we completed our diving, and still went out of his way to ensure Alexia got her HH diving t-shirt before we left. Steve went above and beyond before, during and after the diving. Scuba Steve rules. If you’re thinking about it, you’ll be in good hands with Steve.
I did my Open Water course with Steve, and it was a great experience! I was quite nervous at first and struggled with a few skills (like flooding the mask), but Steve was patient and made sure we practiced until I felt confident and ready to do it in open water. The course ended up taking a bit longer than expected due to weather conditions, but I appreciated that Steve put safety first throughout the whole process (something not every place does). Overall, it was a great experience, and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Hua Hin! I highly recommend Hua Hin Divers to anyone looking for a supportive and professional dive school. Thanks again!
I did my open water certification with Steve, if you're in the area and thinking about doing it I would 100% recommend it here. Steve ensured I knew all the safety practices and drills before moving forward, he's a very experienced diver with alot of knowledge and portrays this during the course. Had a load of fun diving here and wouldn't hesitate coming back!
Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
