Chomview Seafood
Situated in the Cha-am area near Hua Hin, this well-regarded seafood restaurant draws both locals and visitors with its commitment to fresh ingredients and traditional Thai coastal cooking. The menu highlights the region's fishing heritage, with standout dishes including soft-shell crab with curry, tom yum soup with mixed seafood, fried rice with grouper, and stir-fried squid and mussels. Portions are notably generous, making it particularly well-suited to group dining where sharing dishes is the norm. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, with sea views that add considerably to the overall experience. Service is consistently described as attentive and efficient. The mid-range pricing makes it accessible without compromising on quality, and the proximity to the Sheraton Hua Hin resort makes it a convenient option for guests staying in that part of the coastline. Good to know: Specific opening hours are not publicly listed, so it is worth checking locally or contacting the restaurant before making a trip, particularly if visiting outside typical lunch and dinner windows. The restaurant sits in a residential stretch of Cha-am rather than a main tourist strip, so arranging transport in advance is advisable. Coming with a group allows for a broader spread of dishes and makes the most of the large portion sizes on offer.

Visitor Reviews
Definitely the best seafood in town! The dishes are not only fresh and flavorful, but the portion sizes are impressively large, making it perfect for sharing. We highly recommend coming in a group of four or more so you can try a wider variety of dishes without getting too full too fast. From grilled prawns to steamed clams and crab, everything we tried was well-seasoned and cooked just right. One of the biggest highlights is the incredible beachfront view. The restaurant is located right next to the sea, so you can enjoy your meal with the sound of waves in the background and a refreshing breeze — truly a wonderful setting for both lunch and dinner. Don’t leave without trying the fresh coconut! It’s sweet, chilled, and the perfect companion to all the savory seafood dishes. A small but memorable touch. Service is good enough — staff are attentive and the food comes out in a timely manner, though communication may be a bit limited if you don’t speak the local language. Still, they do their best to assist, and everything runs smoothly. All in all, this place offers a great combination of taste, portion, atmosphere, and value. Highly recommended for groups, families, or anyone looking to enjoy a hearty seafood meal by the beach.
Very tasty Thai Seafood restaurant. The ingredients are so fresh like shrimp, squid, crab, mussels. The stir-fried deep-fried Soft shell crab with curry was amazing. All the Thai food here also amazing. The desserts and fruits here also amazing such as Sala, watermelon, and pineapples. The price is affordable. The atmosphere is beautiful and we got good service.
Very tasty local food with great service from the wait crew! They are really patient and very fast with their service. I highly recommend this place. The sea view adds a lot to the vibe and just makes it very relaxing to dine in.
Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
