ร้านอาหารสุกสุขโภชนา Sook Sook Pochana 华欣海鲜餐厅
Tucked along Hua Hin 45 in the heart of Hua Hin town, this popular Thai seafood restaurant draws a broad and loyal clientele spanning local Thai diners, international visitors, and Chinese-speaking guests — a mix reflected in its multilingual signage. The kitchen focuses on fresh coastal ingredients and straightforward Thai seafood cooking, with the grilled river prawns consistently singled out for their juiciness and freshness, and the softshell crab with chilli garlic earning particular praise across visitor accounts. The atmosphere is described as cozy and clean, with attentive, professional service that suits family meals and casual dining alike. The setting is unfussy rather than formal, keeping the emphasis firmly on the food. That said, some visitors note that certain dishes lean on the sweeter side, and that expectations shaped by social media coverage can occasionally set the bar higher than the experience delivers — arriving with an open palate and focusing on the signature seafood preparations tends to yield the most rewarding visit. Good to know: the restaurant opens daily at 10:30 AM, closing at 9:00 PM on weekdays and extending to 10:00 PM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays — making weekend evenings a natural fit for a relaxed seafood dinner. Visiting during early lunch or mid-afternoon can help avoid the busiest periods. Current menu details are available at sooksookpochana.com before heading in.

Visitor Reviews
Food is good but a menu like grilled prawn is still not wow. It lacks the sweetness of the prawn like when u clean the prawn in clean water before cooking it. Otherwise, everything is good!!
The tase is amazing. Worth every single dish. Grilled river prawn so amazing juicy and fresh. Really good atmosphere - cozy and clean. Staff is very professional.
The food was okay, though not entirely to my taste. A few dishes were slightly on the sweet side. I admire the attempt to create something distinctive, but some flavor combinations didn’t quite land for me. Though the lod chong in coconut milk was absolutely delicious! Nice atmosphere and seatings, suitable for a group or family.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
