Booking tours in person is a dying habit in Bangkok, but there's still a case for it, and this is the sort of place that makes it. It's a walk-in travel outfit on Phra Artid Road in Phra Nakhon, close enough to Khao San, the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew that you can sort out tomorrow's plan on the way back from dinner.

The hours are the real draw. Open every day from 08:00 to 22:00, which is a long window by any standard and useful in two directions. You can turn up at eight before a day trip leaves, or roll in at nine at night after your flight lands and get the next few days sorted while you're still awake.

Who it suits is anyone staying in Banglamphu or the old city who'd rather ask a person questions than wade through booking sites. If you're out in Sukhumvit or Silom, it's a long way to come for something you can do on your phone.
