PRANA Yoga and Sound Healing Phuket
Tucked away in the quiet Chalong area of Phuket, this wellness studio offers a thoughtfully curated combination of yoga classes and sound healing sessions in a dedicated, purpose-built shala. The peaceful setting and carefully considered atmosphere make it a genuine retreat from the busier parts of the island, drawing both residents and visitors looking for a meaningful wellness experience rather than a tourist-oriented one. Yoga classes span multiple styles, with Hatha and Vinyasa among the formats on offer, taught by experienced instructors who provide personalised guidance and hands-on corrections during sessions. Sound healing is a particular specialty here, with visitors describing the sessions as deeply immersive and emotionally resonant — the kind of experience that goes beyond simple relaxation. The studio caters to an international clientele, and classes have been delivered with translation support where needed, suggesting a welcoming approach to guests from different backgrounds. Practical notes for visitors: the studio is located on Soi Pa Lai in Tambon Chalong, a residential area best reached by scooter or taxi, so factor in transport when planning. As no website is currently listed, reaching out directly or visiting in person is the most reliable way to confirm current class schedules, pricing, and booking options. Given the small, intimate nature of the space, booking ahead is advisable, particularly during the high season between November and April when demand for wellness experiences across Phuket tends to increase.

Visitor Reviews
Prana was most amazing experience - The setting was lovely and relaxing and the team are wonderful! I had the best sound bath I’ve ever had—deeply relaxing and truly memorable. The yoga practice was also fantastic, with great guidance and a calming atmosphere. Highly recommend this studio for anyone looking for a rejuvenating wellness experience and a fulfilling practice!
I had a great Hatha lesson at this studio. the teacher gave the lesson in Russian but another person translated everything to English. They gave everyone personal guidance and tips. The atmosphere was very beautiful and relaxing. Would highly recommend this place!
The sound healing session was truly inspiring and deeply moving. It created a peaceful space for reflection and opened up emotions I didn’t even realize I needed to release. A beautiful and transformative experience.
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
