Dolphins Bay Phuket

4.6(8,982 reviews)

This is a captive marine mammal show, and that's the first thing to weigh up. If performing dolphins and sea lions sit badly with you, skip it and spend the afternoon somewhere else. If you're travelling with children who'd love it, the production values here are high: choreographed routines, music, an MC working the crowd, trainers pulling their own stunts alongside the animals. The bit people talk about most is the dolphins painting.

Seating is covered, arranged so most spots get a decent view, and the place is kept clean. Everything runs to fixed show times rather than wander-in-when-you-like, so the whole visit is shaped around when your slot starts. At the end there's a chance to get close for photos, charged separately at somewhere in the region of 500 to 1,000 baht, and swimming with the dolphins is another paid add-on. Neither is included, so budget for it or say no at the desk.

Reviews from Google

Dolphin Bay Phuket is a fun and family-friendly attraction that offers a chance to see dolphins up close in an interactive and entertaining show. The facility is clean and well-maintained, with seating arranged to give everyone a good view of the performance. The dolphins are clearly well-trained and perform a variety of impressive tricks — from flips and synchronized jumps to painting and playful interactions with trainers. The staff are friendly and ensure visitors have a pleasant experience, while also emphasizing dolphin care and conservation. The show itself is about 45 minutes long — just the right duration to keep both adults and kids engaged. After the show, visitors can take photos with the dolphins (for an extra fee) or enjoy refreshments at the small café nearby. It’s located slightly away from the main Patong area, so plan for some travel time if you’re staying there. Overall, Dolphin Bay Phuket is a delightful experience — especially for families with children or anyone who enjoys marine life. It’s well-organized, entertaining, and leaves you with a sense of joy and admiration for these intelligent creatures.

One of the best shows we have ever seen. The trainers are incredibly professional, and it’s clear there is a strong bond between them and the animals. The dolphins and sea lions look happy and truly enjoy performing. The baby dolphin was absolutely adorable, jumping all the time. Great music, an engaging MC, and fantastic interaction with the audience. Amazing team and a truly memorable experience.

Best experience! Spectacular performance! Worth every penny. I recommend to buy ticket in advance online to make it easy and to know the time slot for the show

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries

Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.

Book Popular Activities Online

Booking platforms like GetYourGuide give you instant confirmation and, on many activities, free cancellation — and you can read recent reviews before committing. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.

Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning

Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
