Dolphins Bay Phuket

4.6(8,561 reviews)

Located in Chalong, this aquatic attraction draws visitors with its live marine shows starring dolphins and sea lions performing alongside their trainers. The performances are choreographed and high-energy, with highlights including trained dolphins that paint, aerial stunts by both animals and trainers, and opportunities for close-up interaction at the end of the show. The facility is well-maintained, with covered seating that accommodates families, couples, and solo travellers alike. The bond between the trainers and animals is a recurring point of praise from visitors, with the show carrying a polished, theatrical quality rather than a casual display. The venue functions as both a performing arts space and a tourist attraction, so the experience is structured around scheduled show times rather than open-access viewing. Cleanliness and organisation are consistently noted as strengths of the facility. Dolphins Bay Phuket is open seven days a week from 09:00 to 18:00, with Monday being the only closed day. Purchasing tickets in advance online is strongly recommended, as it allows visitors to secure a specific time slot and avoid queues on arrival. The venue is a practical choice for families travelling with children or anyone looking for a structured, entertainment-focused activity during their time in Phuket.

Visitor Reviews

Dolphin Bay Phuket is a fun and family-friendly attraction that offers a chance to see dolphins up close in an interactive and entertaining show. The facility is clean and well-maintained, with seating arranged to give everyone a good view of the performance. The dolphins are clearly well-trained and perform a variety of impressive tricks — from flips and synchronized jumps to painting and playful interactions with trainers. The staff are friendly and ensure visitors have a pleasant experience, while also emphasizing dolphin care and conservation. The show itself is about 45 minutes long — just the right duration to keep both adults and kids engaged. After the show, visitors can take photos with the dolphins (for an extra fee) or enjoy refreshments at the small café nearby. It’s located slightly away from the main Patong area, so plan for some travel time if you’re staying there. Overall, Dolphin Bay Phuket is a delightful experience — especially for families with children or anyone who enjoys marine life. It’s well-organized, entertaining, and leaves you with a sense of joy and admiration for these intelligent creatures.

A Spectacular Marine Display – A "Must-Visit" Experience 🐬✨ Wow!! Simply spectacular! Our visit was nothing short of breathtaking, offering a world-class experience that left us thoroughly impressed. 🌟The show features magnificent performances by the seals and dolphins, showcasing incredible agility and intelligence. It is evident that the trainers have done a terrific job; the synergy between the animals and their handlers was seamless, and the choreography was executed to perfection. 👏 ⏱️ We were fully engaged for the entire 40-minute duration. Every segment was high-energy and captivating, making the show absolutely worth the visit. If you are looking for a memorable, family-friendly outing that delivers on its promises, this is an experience you shouldn't miss! 🌊⭐

One of the best shows we have ever seen. The trainers are incredibly professional, and it’s clear there is a strong bond between them and the animals. The dolphins and sea lions look happy and truly enjoy performing. The baby dolphin was absolutely adorable, jumping all the time. Great music, an engaging MC, and fantastic interaction with the audience. Amazing team and a truly memorable experience.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries

Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.

Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide

These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.

Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning

Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
