Ayurah Spa & Wellness Centre

4.9(46 reviews)

Nestled along a quiet alley in the Suthep area of Chiang Mai, Ayurah Spa & Wellness Centre operates as part of the Aleenta resort property and draws visitors seeking a genuine wellness experience rather than a quick tourist treatment. The centre specialises in curated wellness packages, including multi-day retreat programmes and targeted treatments such as Abhyanga massage, an Indian-style therapeutic oil massage that visitors have described as particularly difficult to find elsewhere in the region. The atmosphere is consistently noted for its calm, unhurried pace, making it a fitting choice for travellers looking to decompress at the end of a trip or commit to a longer restorative stay. Treatments are carried out by senior therapists trained to adapt pressure and technique to individual needs, and the preparation and organisation are handled attentively before guests arrive. Signature offerings include hot oil and hot compress massages, as well as structured packages such as the Balance Your Mind programme. Couples are also well accommodated, with coordinated dual treatments available. Ayurah Spa is open every day of the week from 09:00 to 19:00, with no variation for weekends. Given the personalised nature of the programmes on offer, booking in advance is strongly recommended, particularly for multi-treatment packages or retreat stays. Visitors planning a single-day visit would do well to check the Aleenta website directly to review current package options and availability before arriving.

Visitor Reviews

I just returned from Thailand and had the most amazing time at Ayurah Spa during their Rejuvenate Wellness Retreat. From start to finish, it was peaceful, luxurious, and deeply healing. The spa itself is absolutely beautiful—calm, relaxing, and surrounded by nature. I was warmly welcomed with a delicious herbal drink (no sugar, which I loved!) and then had a wellness consultation with Miss Waew. She was so kind and professional, guiding me through a private yoga session where she patiently helped me with poses and breathing techniques. Next, I experienced a deeply relaxing oil massage and traditional Tok Sen therapy with Miss Na, a skilled and caring therapist. Her touch melted away all my tension—I felt completely renewed. I also had a Tibetan Bowls sound healing session with Miss Nan, which was truly incredible. The vibrations and sounds brought me into such a deep state of calm that words can’t fully describe the benefits. The day continued with a nourishing organic lunch from their wellness menu—healthy, clean, and absolutely delicious. I ended the retreat with breathwork, meditation with Tibetan bowls, a detoxifying body wrap, and a facial massage. Every step of the experience was thoughtfully designed and delivered with so much care. I can confidently say this was one of the best spa experiences of my life. If you are looking for a true wellness escape—one that heals your body, mind, and spirit—I highly recommend Ayurah Spa. I will definitely return again.

Great & the Best spa experience! I went for a spa experience to end my travels and I am so happy I chose to do it at Ayurah Spa. I didฺ the Balance your mind package which I really recommend all of my family member to do during our stay. All staffs at the spa were able to accommodate professionally, friendly and easy to work with. When I showed up, they were able to quickly get me inside the spa into my private Thai style treatment-room with a beautiful open aired back "patio" that was private to the room . This included a huge outdoor shower, bathtub, etc. The body scrub was really nice as was the massage, my therapist named "Ms.Nan" was the best, thanks to her to make me feeled relax. It was a great value for such a luxurious feeling experience.:)

Thanks Ayurah wellness center giving us such an amazing experience. Everything was well prepared and organized before we arrived. Me and my wife were receiving the ‘Abhyanga massage’ with professional therapist. I would like to say special thanks to ‘Guru Warn’ for ‘Pranyama Breathing’ class in the morning and my wife was very satisfied with your massage techniques. Also, I would like to show my appreciation to therapist ‘Na’. With her unique massage techniques and her positive energy, we found out the pain spots that bother me for certain periods of time. After ‘Abhyanga’, Na showed me some Yoga poses to heal the pain. Personally, I’m highly recommended Ayurah Spa when you are staying at Aleenta Retreat.

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas

Learn Wat Pho First

Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.

Communicate Pressure Preferences

Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.

Book Longer Sessions

A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
