Vlog Bar Phuket
Tucked along a quiet-looking stretch of Thanon Chanacharoen in Talat Yai, Vlog Bar Phuket is a bar and restaurant that consistently surprises first-time visitors. What appears unassuming from the street opens up into a busy, energetic venue drawing a predominantly local Thai crowd alongside tourists — a mix that gives it an authentic feel rarely found in more tourist-oriented parts of Phuket. The venue is known for its live band performances, typically playing a blend of Thai and English songs in a rock style, alongside good food and attentive service. Visitors regularly highlight the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and the care shown by staff. The food receives strong praise in its own right, making this a genuine eat-and-drink destination rather than a bar that happens to serve food. Good to know: Vlog Bar opens at 6pm every night of the week and stays open until 2am, making it well-suited for a late dinner followed by a full evening out. Given that it fills up even on weeknights, booking ahead is a smart move — the Facebook page handles reservations and is also worth checking for any updates on special events or schedule changes during public holidays.

Visitor Reviews
This restaurant is very nice, even waiter or every employee. The food very delicious, I love the vibe in this restaurant so much. If we talk about booking, the admin work very well on that. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, making it perfect for both family gatherings and casual hangouts with friends. Every detail, from the decoration to the cleanliness, shows how much the staff care about their customers. The service is always quick and attentive, and the employees are very polite and welcoming.
On a street that appears quiet, but super busy (in a good way) inside on a Sunday night. Live band playing a mix of Thai and English songs in a rock style. The crowd is mostly Thai people. No one treated me weird as a solo foreigner there, and I ended up making some great friends for the night! Would recommend to any foreigner looking for a club away from the tourist vibe.
If you’re looking for a fun place, this is it. We visited on a Wednesday night and judging from the street that it’s located, that was going to be empty. To our surprise was full with a live band. We had a tower beer and lots of fun, dancing from Thai classic to Latino beats. Really fun place

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
