Krua Talad Yai Restaurant
Situated on the second floor of the Courtyard by Marriott in the heart of Phuket Town, this hotel restaurant draws both guests and outside visitors for its generous buffet spreads across multiple meal occasions. While the name nods to traditional Thai dining, the offering extends well beyond local cuisine, encompassing international dishes, Japanese dinner buffets, and a well-regarded breakfast service that features live cooking stations alongside fresh fruit, salads, and a broad selection of Asian and Western preparations. The breakfast buffet in particular stands out, with live egg and omelette counters complementing an extensive spread of hot and cold options. Dinner service has featured themed buffets such as Japanese cuisine, suggesting the kitchen rotates its focus to keep the offering varied. The atmosphere is comfortable and hotel-polished, with attentive staff noted consistently across visitor experiences. It suits travellers who want reliable variety and quality in a relaxed, air-conditioned setting after a day exploring Phuket Old Town. For practical planning, the restaurant opens daily from noon until 10 PM, making it a viable option for both lunch and dinner. Hotel guests automatically have access as part of their stay, but walk-in diners are also welcome. Those visiting specifically for the breakfast buffet should check availability with the hotel directly, as breakfast hours and inclusions may differ from the standard opening times listed.

Visitor Reviews
If you find yourself wandering through Phuket Town and need a perfect spot to recharge, look no further than the Marriott Phuket Town. This is genuinely a great place to grab a coffee or a quick snack. The overall experience is exceptionally pleasant. The environment is noticeably clean and well-maintained, creating a relaxing break from the busy streets outside. Coupled with the pleasant and attentive staff, you feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of from the moment you step in. An added bonus is the pricing—it's very reasonable, especially considering the high quality and clean setting. It offers excellent value for a quick, high-quality pit stop. Highly recommended if you're in the area!
One of the Best Breakfast Buffets in Town! An impressive spread with a fresh and diverse selection of both Western and Asian dishes. Everything was well-prepared and beautifully presented. The service stood out — the staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We visited during a promotional period: 250 THB per person plus VAT and service charge. For two people, the total came to around 750 THB — excellent value for the quality. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant, with soft background music, clean dishes and cutlery, and smiling staff throughout. A lovely way to start the day!

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
