SAILOR OIA gallery cafe’
This sailor-themed cafe and gallery in Pai offers something noticeably different from the town's typical coffee shop scene. Visitor reviews consistently note that stepping inside feels like leaving Pai entirely — the immersive nautical theme creates a self-contained world that doubles as a dining and activity destination. Beyond the food and drinks, the venue features kayaking and swimming in clean natural water, making it a practical option for families or travellers looking to combine a meal with outdoor activity. The menu draws praise for its food and smoothie drinks, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Staff are frequently highlighted in reviews for their friendliness and willingness to help, which contributes to the venue's appeal as a place to linger rather than just eat and leave. The combination of gallery-style surroundings, water activities, and a kitchen open throughout the day gives it a versatility that suits solo travellers, couples, and groups alike. Good to know: The venue opens daily at 11:00 and stays open until 22:00, so it works equally well for a midday visit with activities or a quieter evening meal. If travelling with children, the kayaking is specifically noted as a fun option for kids. Arriving with extra time to explore the space and potentially use the water activities is worthwhile — treating it purely as a quick lunch stop would mean missing a significant part of what the venue offers.

Visitor Reviews
Was deeply curious about this due to good ratings and reviews so finally tried it. And yes, it’s something you should try at least once when visiting Pai. Once your in, it looks like you’re not in Pai anymore. The ambience is very bright & light. The interior and atmosphere is very unique and creative. And the best part is the wide variety of different seating to choose. There are cozy couches available, also ones by the pool where you can dip your feet while eating, and other ones on top of a modern tree house in a Japanese/Chinese style pad squatting. The view is amazing and it’s an open area which is still very cool even in the peak heat of the day. They have good variety of local foods to choose from & even vegan and vegetarian options. The smoothie options are fantastic. Price is a bit higher though but worth it. Taste is okay.
I love the smoothie drinks and so many good food. There are activities like kayaking and swimming where the water is super clean.🫶🛶🏊♂️. One thing the staff is so nice.
I like the sailor theme, the food is good and location is great. I loved how all the staff have a big smile and are egar to help.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
