Street Food Festival 2025-2026
This open-air street food festival brings together a rotating collection of food stalls, live music, and carnival-style games in the Mae Hi area of Pai, creating a festive, communal atmosphere that draws both travellers and locals. The setting feels more like a lively food garden than a traditional restaurant, with vendors serving everything from native Thai dishes to international options, and a strong selection of vegan and vegetarian choices alongside meat-based dishes. Standout stalls include one serving Chicken Katsu Curry that has earned repeat visits from guests, while okonomiyaki is another crowd favourite worth seeking out. Beyond the food, the festival adds entertainment to the mix, with activities such as duck shooting and ring toss games, and Saturday evenings feature Muay Thai bouts for 100 baht, giving the night a distinctly local, celebratory feel. The music contributes to the relaxed but energetic vibe, making it a comfortable spot to spend a few hours rather than just a quick meal stop. Good to know: the festival runs evenings from 17:00 daily, though Thursdays open earlier at 11:00. Visitors planning to attend on a Saturday should arrive with time to catch the Muay Thai, which adds a unique dimension to the evening. Check the Facebook page before visiting for updated schedules or special events during the 2025-2026 season.

Visitor Reviews
Street Food Garden (Street Food Festival 2025–2026) was a fun, lively night out. There were many different food stalls, plus activities like duck shooting and ring toss-style games. That evening there was also a concert—access to the concert area required a ticket. Great atmosphere if you enjoy busy night markets, food, and entertainment in one place.
the New York Street Food stall here serves the best food - came back for the Chicken Katsu Curry three times as the chicken was the freshest/ best i’ve ever had
Really nice place with good music, you should definitely go there when you’re in Pai! :) Also many vegan and vegetarian options!

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
